True Colors
Tendo a vedere in termini di bianco e nero ... Non sogno nemmeno a colori.
L'artigianato è qualcosa che mi piace davvero perché creare cose dà colore ai miei sogni.
Un argomento che mi viene un calcio dall'esplorare ruota attorno a una semplice domanda ... come si scrive un colore ... è g-r-a-y o g-r-e-y ?
Può essere un problema nebbioso (mi piace la nebbia) ma in realtà non è complicato ... si riduce a sole due lettere ... 'a' ed 'e'.
Combinare i due in una lettera 'æ' ha effettivamente senso; e, che ci crediate o no, l'ortografia storica fa proprio questo... g-r-æ-g.
Le rune anglosassoni rivelano ancora di più sulla relazione ...
a = quercia : e = cavallo : æ = frassino
Tutte queste identità hanno un sacco di simbolismo antico e solo menzionando le rune scatenano immagini di tempi magici per me.
Guardare la Luna attraverso la cromatologia approfondisce il mix ... quando il bianco viene aggiunto al nero è 'grigio' (dalla luna nuova alla luna piena) ... quando il nero viene aggiunto al bianco è "grigio" (dalla luna piena alla luna nuova).
Roba pulita.
Chi sapeva che il bianco e nero potesse essere così colorato ;-)

I tend to see in terms of black & white … I hardly even dream in color.
Crafts are something I truly enjoy because creating stuff gives color to my dreams.
One subject I get a kick out of exploring revolves around a simple question … how to spell a color ... is it g-r-a-y or g-r-e-y ?
It can be a foggy issue (I like fog) but it really is not complicated … it boils down to just two letters … ‘a’ and ‘e’.
Combining the two into one letter ‘æ’ actually makes sense; and, believe it or not, the historical spelling does just that … g-r-æ-g.
Anglo-Saxon Runes reveal even more about the relationship ...
a = oak : e = horse : æ = ash
All of these identities have lots of ancient symbolism and just mentioning Runes spark images of magical times for me.
Viewing the Moon through chromatology deepens the mix ... when white is added to black it is 'gray' (new moon to full moon) ... when black is added to white it is 'grey' (full moon to new moon).
Neat stuff.
Who knew black & white could be so colourful ;-)
