About DuluthCrateCo

On Etsy since 2014

An idea has turned into a fun side business.

In 2008, I started to explore an idea where I took real subject matter which are real places around Duluth, MN and put them into the likeness of a fruit crate label. I showed some close friends and did a few different places and The Duluth Crate Co. was born. Ive sold in local shops and galleries, do a few local art and craft shows and launched a website. Now some 7 years later, I have my work on Etsy and have plans to expand into other products which I hope to slowly release on my website and also on Etsy.

In stock items are returnable within 7 days from the date received for a full refund (minus shipping) as long as it is in new condition. Client is responsible for return shipping charges if applicable. Custom orders are non-returnable. Each piece is guaranteed to be free from defects for 60 days. If the item needs repair after the 60 day period (ie. you dropped it down the stairs), we can usually fix it for a modest charge with shipping at your expense. We also can repair our pieces for a modest fee.
Shipping
We try to ship our items USPS. Most print and notecard items will be sent bound in bubble wrap etc.

Most of our furniture items are made to order with some occasional one-of-a-kind items offered. Production is running 4-6 weeks. We offer free furniture delivery within 20 miles of Duluth, MN. We are willing to deliver furniture to the 20-50 mile area from Duluth for a $100 fee. Shipping fees are built into the pricing. For the larger items (tables/consoles) freight shipping may be needed and those costs are higher. We do not have a showroom at this time.

Since each furniture piece is made by hand, they will have a unique look and vary to some degree from piece to piece. Adirondack chairs are made from pine and spar varnished. They hold up in the elements, but over time they may take on some weathering. The reclaimed wood used in some pieces is sourced from a 100+ year old grain elevator in Superior, Wisconsin. Virgin pine wood with tight grains and history.
