Lady Eliza Annabella Durrant and Duchess Rebeka Belmont Dove, born to aristocratic families in the 1890’s met at finishing school in Switzerland and struck up a lifelong, co-dependent, unhealthy and insalubrious association. Doomed to a dreary dutiful life in London, they desired to break free of the constraints of their unavoidable fate, run away and live their best life in a chateau in France.
Despite their desire to remain secreted away from the prying eyes of the world, their lust for life and the finer things saw them hosting the most beautifully debauched society gatherings and their chateau inevitably became a glorious magnet for the Bright Young Things.
The ladies Durrant and Dove lived to the ripe ages of 110 and 112 respectively – probably due to the preserving qualities of their drugs of choice. Lady Durrant was found naked and suffocated by an orange in the wardrobe of her personal suite at the Ritz after a successful Primark shopping trip and Duchess Dove‘s remains can still be seen frozen in position with a tea-cup and e-cig at the top of Mont Blanc after accepting an ill-fated dare. Tragic. Employed by their family, I, Simone de la Roche, Solicitor, have been entrusted with the task of disposing of the chateau and its contents to settle family gambling debts and medical bills.
The Durrant and Dove collection is an exquisite collection of the finest vintage porcelain pieces, beautifully defaced and used at some of the most depraved gatherings of the early 20th century. Now - made available for purchase by members of the public to raise funds for said bills.
