The Beginning:
The Kudvumisa foundation began in 2008 in the height of the AIDS epidemic in Africa. At that time the average life expectancy was less than 30 years of age. The foundation started as a way to transport children from the most remote areas of eSwatini Africa to hospitals and clinics in order that they receive care.

From there the foundation grew from supporting children to supporting the entire community around the children with compassionate Christ centered health care for all. The health mission expanded to where we are today with a state of the art clinic that can treat both the body and the soul of those that so desperately need it in the heart of eSwatini Africa.

Beyond Health Care:
Dvumisa Creative was started as an economic development branch of the Kudvumisa Foundation with the mission to impact eSwatini beyond just the health of the individuals. With an unemployment rate over 50%, many of the people in the rural areas of eSwatini face immense poverty and this is disproportionately felt by the elderly, the single mothers and care givers of disabled individuals. Dvumisa Creative’s goal is to bring economic opportunities to the poorest communities through economic projects including: glass repurposing, sewing projects, and our Marula Oil Project.

The Marula Oil Project
The Marula tree is a staple in southern Africa and produces a bright yellow fruit that is edible and contains a nut, similar to a walnut. We pay the people in the poorer regions a fair compensation to collect these nuts, crack and then dry them. We then bring them back to our facility and employ others from the community to process these nuts into oil by pressing them in a mechanical press. The oil is then turned into cosmetics including soaps and creams. We employ caregivers of disabled children to come to the Kudvumisa facility and make these products, giving them the opportunity to provide for their families.
