About

Fiber Fanatic

I've been a rabid fiber fanatic for most of my life. Try as I might to diverge from this path (I dabbled in sewing and paper crafts from time to time), I kept finding myself drawn to yarn and all its related fiber crafts.

It all started when my grandmother taught me how to crochet, and then shortly afterwards knit, when I was about 8 years old. Decades later I found myself making hats and other accessories to sell online for profit. Within the last four years I started designing, writing and self-publishing knitting and crochet patterns selling them on Ravelry under the name Acts of Knittery.

It appears that my life-long love of color, knitting, crochet and design have led me down the path of dyeing yarn and running this shop. I hope the fiber fanatic in you enjoys using these yarns and that their colorways inspire you to make great things. :)

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Would you like your yarn wound into a cake? Please let me know and I'll do it free of charge. :)

Do you need more yarn for a larger project? Just let me know. There is currently a turnaround time of about 2 weeks before these orders can be shipped out.

Care instructions

Our wool yarns are superwash so they won't felt. For best results, it's best to hand wash your finished item in cool to lukewarm water and dry it flat.

Wholesale availability

We are now accepting wholesale accounts for brick & mortar LYS which we feel would be a good fit for carrying our unique artisan hand dyed yarns. Please visit our website here for more information: https://dyeiscastyarns.com/pages/wholesale.
