This book was mildewed and had a bad smell. I asked the seller to credit my PayPal account for my initial shipping, then I would ship the damaged book back. I asked that when the seller recieved the damaged book, he would credit my PayPal for the cost of the book and the return shipping cost. He declined. I opened an Etsy claim and got nowhere. I gave up and tossed the book for recycle. I'm so frustrated with the seller and Etsy and feel like I got taken. I will never buy a thing from Etsy again. They did not have a policy in place to manage this issue and they left me on my own to deal with a difficult seller.

I long for happy customers and the right home for all treasured books. Returns would be willingly accepted with a full refund give on receipt.
Etsy is not a co-operative.
The term 'owner' is used to denote a seller. Whilst some sellers might hold a few shares, in general, ownership is limited to the goods offered for sale. Sellers have no control over the features of the site, for instance, if the shipping costs are hidden from view.
This particular seller tries very hard to truthfully represent in words and pictures the condition of books offered for sale. Packing is considered important.

Sending something that weighs twice as much can cost about double to post and in some circumstances it can be cheaper to send two items separately.
