HANDBOUND BOOKS
Combining both traditional and modern bookbinding techniques, I use everyday objects and materials: paper, food packaging, felt, vinyl records, and LEGO pieces.
GREETING CARDS
My graphic design background influences my card designs. Observing actual objects, simplifying them visually, and then creating images out of rubber often brings about an element of surprise. I love the tactile, hands-on process of carving and block printing.
JEWELRY
I reduce my carved images or combine beautiful glass and metal beads to make earrings and bracelets. They have turned out to be great gifts!
SOCK CREATURES
In an article for "Greencraft" magazine, I wrote about upcycling socks and turning familiar items into whimsical, cuddly creatures.
BEESWAX / ENCAUSTIC ART
These are exciting mediums for experimentation—whether using representational images or abstract swirls of color.
Looking forward to creating more objects—both functional and playful—with an eye toward recycling and repurposing materials!
