Una versión actualizada y elevada de los pendientes de gancho y colgante que habría hecho cuando era adolescente en la década de 1990. Técnica mixta (vidrio, lucite, metal, piedra), en su mayoría de inclinación vintage, a veces con algunos materiales contemporáneos.
..:: GOTAS DECO ::..
Declaración audaz post pendientes hechos principalmente de lucite vintage, con la resina contemporánea ocasional. Por lo general, múltiples cuentas en una sola gota para menos movimiento y más estructura.
..:: DECO CUELGA ::..
Más ligero, más largo y más articulado que el Deco Drops. Una composición similar de materiales, pero en la variedad más pequeña para ser más largo y más atrevido sin preocuparse por el peso.
..:: ANÉMONAS DE ELEMENOPY ::..
Pendientes de flecos de cuentas de semillas tejidos a mano y en telar. El color y el movimiento orgánico son las estrellas del espectáculo aquí. Un semicírculo estable estrechamente tejido en un solo color crea la base de la que nacen ramitas de volantes de otro color juguetón (o dos).
..:: MEDIAS LUNAS ::..
Semicírculos de cuentas de semillas estructurales tejidas en telar en interesantes combinaciones de colores y patrones. Estos están informados menos por la naturaleza, y más por el diseño gráfico, lineal y moderno. Comúnmente diseños de cuadrícula de bloques de color o ventanas.
..:: LLAVEROS ::..
Llaveros de cuentas gruesas y coloridas ensartadas con colores calientes y formas de materiales vintage y contemporáneos. Los fobs de declaración de bloque de color a menudo están inspirados en los años 80 y son una excelente manera de usar cuentas grandes que son demasiado pesadas para los pendientes.

Aprendí a hacer cuentas y crear joyas como un juguete, pero realmente no profundicé en ello hasta que estaba en la universidad, cuando trabajé durante muchos años en una tienda de abalorios con una estética hermosa. La tienda almacenaba algunas piezas verdaderamente (¡en realidad!) únicas y vintage, y trabajar allí me permitió viajar a muchas ferias comerciales, lo que significaba encontrar cosas aún más geniales. A lo largo de los años, me acostumbré a tener cuentas y hallazgos interesantes alrededor, artículos que una persona no podía recoger en cualquier lugar. Afortunadamente para todos nosotros, Internet ha hecho que sea mucho más fácil encontrar cuentas y joyas geniales e interesantes, así que a pesar de que hace mucho tiempo que dejé ese trabajo, todavía estoy siempre en la búsqueda. ¡No puedo conseguir lo suficiente! (Pero tengo suficiente). (¡Pero nunca lo suficiente!) (Pero realmente. suficiente.) (¡¡NO!!)
Encuentro inspiración en todo tipo de lugares más allá de la propia joyería: textiles, ropa, cerámica, estampados y pinturas, etc. Tengo un deseo frenético de usar los colores brillantes y las formas y combinaciones salvajes de la escena del arte pop y los artistas del Grupo Memphis. ¡No hay nada mejor que un enorme, brillante y audaz par de pendientes posmodernos! Me encanta usar plásticos y lucites vintage por esa razón: permiten algunas piezas GRANDES, escandalosas y económicas sin arrancarte los orificios de los oídos. También hay algunas cuentas de resina contemporáneas realmente geniales que son súper interesantes, y me encanta usarlas también.
Trabajar con cuentas de semillas es muy divertido debido a la variedad de colores y las muchas posibilidades de movimiento Y estabilidad. Empleo técnicas de telar y tejido a mano, dependiendo del requerimiento de la pieza. Prefiero los diseños gráficos audaces a los abalorios tradicionales, por lo que siempre estoy tratando de evitar la norma con mis piezas tejidas. Ya sean combinaciones de colores salvajes, patrones interesantes, formas experimentales, etc., solo estoy tratando de salir del molde dang, ¡todos!

..:: LITHIA DANGLES ::..
An updated and elevated version of hook and dangle earrings I would have made as a teenager in the 1990s. Mixed media (glass, lucite, metal, stone), mostly vintage leaning, sometimes with some contemporary materials.
..:: DECO DROPS ::..
Bold statement post earrings made mostly of vintage lucite, with the occasional contemporary resin thrown in. Usually multiple beads on a single drop for less movement and more structure.
..:: DECO DANGLES ::..
Lighter, longer, and more articulated than the Deco Drops. A similar makeup of materials, but in the smaller variety in order to be longer and jauntier without worrying about the weight.
..:: ELEMENOPY ANEMONES ::..
Hand- and loom-woven seed bead fringe earrings. Color and organic movement are the stars of the show here. A stable tightly-woven semi-circle in a single color creates the base from which frilly sprigs of another playful color (or two) are born.
..:: HALF MOONS ::..
Loom-woven structural seed bead semi-circles in interesting combinations of colors and patterns. These are informed less by nature, and more by graphic, linear, modern design. Commonly color block or windowpane grid designs.
..:: KEYCHAINS ::..
Cool and colorful chunky beaded keychains strung with hot colors and shapes of vintage and contemporary materials. Color block statement fobs are often 80s inspired, and are a great way to use large beads that are too heavy for earrings.
..:: MY WORK ::..
I learned to bead and create jewelry as a tot, but didn't really delve into it until I was in college, when I worked for many years in a bead shop with a beautiful aesthetic. The shop stocked some truly (actually!) unique and vintage pieces, and working there allowed me to travel to many trade shows, which meant finding even more cool stuff. Over the years, I grew accustomed to having interesting beads and findings around--items that a person couldn't pick up just anywhere. Luckily for us all, the ol' internet has made it much easier to find cool and interesting beads and jewelry, so even though I have long since moved on from that job, I am still always on the hunt. I cannot get enough! (But I totally have enough.) (But never enough!) (But really. enough.) (NO!!)
I find inspiration in all sorts of places beyond jewelry itself: textiles, clothing, ceramics, prints and paintings, etc. I have a frenzied desire to use the bright colors and wild shapes and combinations of the pop art scene and Memphis Group artists. There's nothing better than a huge, bright, audacious pair of postmodern earrings! I love using vintage plastics and lucites for that reason--they allow for some BIG, outrageous, and inexpensive pieces without tearing your earholes out. There are also some really great contemporary resin beads out there that are super interesting, and I love using those too.
Working with seed beads is so fun because of the variety of colors and the many possibilities for movement AND stability. I employ both loom- and hand-weaving techniques, depending on the requirement of the piece. I prefer bold graphic designs over traditional beadwork, so I'm always trying to avoid the norm with my woven pieces. Be it wild color combos, interesting patterns, experimental shapes, etc, I'm just trying to break out of the dang mold, y'all!
