Announcement   Welcome to Elmrocks! I'm really inspired by nature so I make sustainable wood jewellery and design animal and plant themed craft kits and patterns. As a multi-crafter, I know how important it is to keep all your equipment organised and it's so lovely to receive craft inspired gifts, like the ones I sell in my shop.
Everything is designed by me in my little studio by the canal in Leeds. I've been making things my whole life - from sewing, to crochet, to knitting, to papercraft and I strongly believe in the wonderful powers of craft to make things that little bit better in your world.
I started Elmrocks to let share the creativity and also to allow me to work more flexibly to spend time with my little girl. I love the maker and craft community, and you can follow me on Instagram and Twitter @elm_rocks

I can't wait to make this! The instructions look great, really clear and easy to follow. The whole kit looks really professional and would make a great gift for craft fans too :)

When this kit turned up I was really pleased with the packaging and the presentation. It is a simple kit and I was happy with it. However I am disappointed that there is no wooden backing plate on to complete and secure the embroidery on the outside and make the pendant look nice unlike the dandelyne pendants. I would have preferred to have paid a small amount extra for a good finish. Instead a piece of felt is glued to the back which is visible if it is worn. In my opinion it does not look good and I am not confident it secures the embroidery either. The pendant does not look complete without it. It almost looks like a decision has been made to exclude this uncostly item from the kit. It is a real shame. I think I would have other rated this kit higher. A small thing that makes a difference. About

Crafty Things for Crafty People

I love the freedom that creativity and craft gives me, and have seen first hand the benefits it can give in terms of confidence and physical and mental well being. I have always made things, ever since I was a tiny child. It's what truly makes me happy and over the years I've developed my own style and I know how important it is to reflect your personality in what you wear and the things you use. And my non-crafty friends and family are always telling me how hard it is to buy me gifts because they don't know what to get!
I design all my products in my little studio by the canal in Leeds. I love how seeing a leaf or squirrel or branch trapped in ice on the water can spark ideas, or sitting watching the television or reading a book and thinking "that would make an excellent pattern!"
I'm really inspired by texture and mixing mediums and the main draw for me when I make something or buy something is how it feels - the weight of it in my hands, the sensation of yarn through my fingers, the contrast of the cold, sharp needle with the soft linen and embroidery threads. This is why my kits only use the best quality supplies - I want you to feel the same as I do when I make, and I want you to be proud of what you've created, the same why I am when you order something I've spent hours honing and perfecting from a germ of an idea into a finished product.
I'm passionate about buying handmade - I love the uniqueness of products made by small designer makers - and I strive for individuality. I make a lot of my own clothes and I love to support handmade shops and galleries. The craft community is fantastic and I invite you to share your makes with me using the hashtag #elmrockscraft so I can see what you've done!
