http://etsymetal.blogspot.com/2016/06/whats-new_18.html

I ship via the USPS insured mail. The images you see represent the piece I will ship.

I enjoy the process of metalsmithing, there is a certain intimacy in the shaping and joining of small parts that is rhythmic in nature. My jewelry is contemporary in style, meticulously hand-crafted, and made to endure. It is designed to be worn daily with either casual or evening fashions. Many of my pendants come with chains which can be worn at two different lengths making them more versatile with your wardrobe.

I am proud of the heirloom quality my jewelry possesses. I choose to work mainly in silver, however, any piece can easily be custom made in the karat gold of your choice.

These are unique & stunning, absolutely more beautiful than the pics show! Everything is so shiny against a black sky, & the weight is just right. Beautiful workmanship, excellent service, & a very communicative & responsive seller - I would definitely buy from Elise again! Thank you!!

Working with Elise on a custom ring order was a great experience and I am in LOVE with the finished product. Attention to detail and frequent updates along the way were great. It was a pleasure to work with this Etsy seller.

About

I move metal...

I started my business in 1992 while I was still in graduate school and working as a goldsmith. I knew by the time I was finished with school I would want to be self employed. My first line of jewelry was made from geometric shapes of copper and brass colored in various patinas. I would combine these shapes with embossed silver and make earrings and pendants.

After graduate school, I taught part time at UW-Milwaukee and worked in my studio. A good friend of mine collects antique buttons. She would visit me in my studio and clean them in my ultrasonic cleaner. I thought they were beautiful and would look great in silver. So started my second line "Button Jewelry". I make earrings, pendants and bracelets from cast silver reproductions of antique glass buttons.

My favorite process is forging. I make many hand forged pieces in silver and gold. Over the last few years I have had trouble with my hands. So I had molds made of some of my original silver pieces so I could have them cast. After they are cast I can forge, refine and finish a piece more easily.

I do custom work. I am happy to help my customers and make something they cannot find, or have designed themselves.

Care instructions

Silver is a beautiful metal which over time will tarnish. To help prevent your silver jewelry from tarnishing keep it stored in a plastic bags or in anti-tarnish jewelry bags. After wearing silver wipe it with a soft cloth or polishing cloth before storing to remove finger prints, body oils etc. To clean your jewelry first try a polishing cloth. Another method is to mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water and let piece soak for 1-2 minutes. Dip in a soft cloth and rub the jewelry, then rinse in cool water and buff with a soft cloth until dry. If your jewelry is very tarnished use a silver paste cleaner. Follow directions on the paste cleaner. Be careful of soft stones like Turquoise, Lapis, Pearl and Opal.
