About

Horses, Fashion, and Architecture

Equine by Lauren Radvansky evolved from a very large childhood collection of Breyer model horses. Growing up, Lauren loved to buy and continually merchandise the horses in her room. It was an obsession that eventually launched into one of fashion and design.

While in architecture school at Penn State, Lauren lived and worked in Philadelphia and Rome. In her free time, she would explore the cities and their boutiques, studying the merchandise and store design. Post graduation, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in a corporate home office. In Manhattan she had the opportunity to work at J.Crew, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Ralph Lauren. Her pursuit is still the same, and Equine is an exciting chapter in this journey.

FAQ:

What are the horses made out of?

The horses are adapted Breyer model horses, which are made of hard plastic resin. Some maintain original, hand painted coat, while others are painted by me. Horses with original paint were once part of someone's beloved collection, and are in vintage condition which may (or may not) show some wear.
