How much does it cost for you to make me a portrait?
50% refundable deposit due on approval of reference photographs
1 subject portrait 8"x10" matted to fit 11x14 frame: $175
1 subject pet portrait 11"x14" matted to fit 16x20 frame: $200
Each additional subject in the same portrait: $75
How long will it take for you to make my custom portrait?
Turnaround time is usually about 2 weeks from when I approve your photos by email to when I complete your portrait. Shipping then takes about 3 business days after I receive the balance of your payment if you are in the USA, longer for other countries. If you are worried about a deadline, message me and I will let you know if it's doable or not.
Is my photo good enough for you to draw or paint me a portrait from it?
I have to be particular about the photo I work off of so that I can deliver a top quality portrait. Please make sure your photos are taken up close, in focus, in good lighting (outdoors in full shade works great) and clearly shows the expression you want me to capture. You can attach your pictures to an Etsy message to me by selecting "Contact" on my shop page. If you have the option, send the largest possible file size picture. Do not shrink or compress the image for best results. If you are unsure whether the pictures you have are good enough for me to work off of, feel free to send them to me and I will give you a free consultation by email with my thoughts.
What size custom portraits do you do?
I offer an 8"x10" size which comes matted to fit an 11"x14" frame
or
an 11"x14" size which comes matted to fit a 16"20" frame
Do you frame?
No. Original portraits come matted but not framed to cut back on shipping expenses and because everyone's taste and decor is different.
The original portraits come matted in black, wrapped in acetate and mounted on foam board which does make for an attractive presentation as a gift.
