Thank you for stopping by my shop, Earchitecture!

For me, the charm of jewelry design began as a teenager, when I apprenticed with a jeweler in my hometown. Though I was only allowed to do minor chores (ring-cleaning, electroplating and so forth) I would watch the jeweler at her bench, and found the process fascinating.

From there, I went on to study Architecture and Interior Design at the University of Florida, and practiced as a Designer for more than 16 years. It was only after an auto accident that I rediscovered my interest in jewelry making. I was confined to bed for so long that I got bored and needed a creative outlet.

I started with simple stretch bracelets, and quickly moved on to more challenging projects with earrings and necklaces. You can imagine how quickly these projects accumulated around my house, and a friend suggested that I sell the jewelry at craft shows. The jewelry sold well, with the most popular items being earrings. So, I honed in on my focus. I soon learned, from talking with my customers, that wearing earrings was simply a part of being dressed, in their opinions.

Around that time, an associate of my husband's suggested that I list my items on Etsy, and since January of 2012, I have been trying to navigate the world of online selling. Most of my work is sold locally, but having a presence here has been great for people to see the type of work I do, from their home or office computers.
