About

Upcycled, recycled, repurposed.

Upcycled, recycled, repurposed, bohemian jewelry, accessories, and art.

Hello, my name is Shelley.
Welcome to my shop!

I grew up in a small village in Manitoba, Canada.
I have always been interested in the arts, particularly painting, sculpture, and music. After obtaining my BFA, I moved overseas to teach English for a year, which eventually turned into five! During my globetrotting years, I always painted and did other crafty things, but It wasn't until I returned to my hometown that I rediscovered my love for tactile assemblage sculpture and began creating jewelry.

Although being back home in small town Manitoba, surrounded by nature, has been a big influence on me, I suppose disposable diapers were the real catalyst for starting my eco friendly jewelry line. With the birth of my two girls and the use of disposable diapers, I realized just how much garbage we as humans produce. By the way, I have
since switched to using cloth diapers!

As for the bohemian vibe of my creations, this is a style I picked up due to my travels and discoveries of different art forms. I love the layered, ethnic look and the sense of spiritual inclusion and world culture inherent in the bohemian style.

My brand is "sustainable and eco-friendly" because I use upcycled, recycled, and/or repurposed material. In fact, I try not to buy anything new at all in order to create my work! For example, I use material such as paper (junk mail or newspaper,) shoelaces, plastic milk jugs, stones, belts, purses, upcycled fiber from clothing, repurposed broken jewelry, copper wire from salvaged motors, and the list goes on and on. I pack all my jewelry items in pillow boxes which are also made from cereal box carboard.
I try to be as environmentally conscious as possible.

I hope you enjoy my work, and can find something you love!
Thank you for buying handmade, and please recycle.

Shipping
For items already made, I will ship your item the same day (or the next day in some cases) I receive your order and payment is complete. Items made to order vary in when they will be sent out. I have the shipping detail for each item listed. I will contact you with confirmation and an estimated arrival date.

Items will be shipped by Canada Post. 7-14 business days is the usual arrival time within Canada and the U.S. International orders could take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Please note that for international orders (outside of Canada,) although it should only take 2-4 weeks for a package to arrive, it has happened before on very rare occasions that a package has been accidentally placed in the surface mail stream rather than air. For this reason, 3 months must have passed before I will offer a refund for any item not received. If you would like a faster shipping method, or would like your item traceable and insured at an additional charge, please contact me under 'notes to seller' during checkout or as a convo as soon as possible after placing your order. I must receive payment for the desired shipping upgrade before I ship an item with a faster shipping method. If I do not receive payment within a reasonable amount of time, I will ship it regular mail. I will email you the expected arrival time.

**Only the price of the item will be refunded. (not the shipping and handling price.)**

If there is a problem with your order, please let me know. You can send it back to
me (buyer pays the shipping) and I will adjust it for you. If the item is damaged upon receipt, there will be no additional charge, except for the shipping. If you would like a size adjustment, and have not told me your size when you ordered it, there will be a nominal fee.

All jewelry items will be packaged in a handmade pillow box inside a padded envelope. If more than one item is ordered, they will be packaged together to economize on shipping costs. If you would like them to be packaged separately, please let me know. The shipping costs will be higher.

Cards and artwork will be packaged in a plastic protective sleeve and sandwiched between cardboard.

Buyers are responsible for any customs fees.
If you feel your order has not arrived in a timely manner, please contact your local post office and see if the package is being held. If not, please contact me and we will work out a solution.
Refunds and Exchanges
If a cancellation is requested before your item has been shipped I will give a full refund.
*This does not apply to custom artwork.*
If I have not yet begun working on your piece, and you request a cancellation, I will give you a full refund. If I have completed a substantial amount or work on your piece, I may give you a partial refund. If the piece is complete, but not yet mailed, no refund will be given.

If you want to return an item (unused in the original packaging) shipping is your responsibility unless we otherwise agree.
* I can't offer a refund on custom artwork.*
If you have any issues with your order, please let me know so we can work something out. I want to do my best to make you happy!
