Earthlightco the Begining
Eartlight began in the first lock down of 2020. While sorting out my home and having a clear out I found my Daughters collection of porceline dolls and my sons James Bond car collection.
These collections had been very important to my children many years ago.
The dolls were very much loved, some of them were in pristine condition and others had been played with. The original idea was to bring back the vintage dolls to their former glory ready to be gifted.
All of Earthlight Vintage/ antique dolls porcelain and Bisques have kept all their original features and clothing but have been carefully cleaned, clothing hand laundered, hair conditioned and had small additions added to ensure they leave the Earthlight home ready to be gifted and received by the recipient. All of these dolls can be gifted straight to a new home to even children as they come ready for their new adventure. The dolls are not toys so small children will need to be supervised.
Vintage is the way to go and is a very thoughtful gift to any collector or person in your life.
When my children were little they learnt at an early age to appreciate and look after the things they cared for, hence some of the dolls and cars have never been played with but gazed upon in ore. In a throw away society to preserve lovely things for the future is a fantastic attribute to have to be learned at an early stage. I can never remember saying this to my children but they naturally did this.
Each doll is treated with respect as they have previously been part of someones life before and would have been much loved. The idea is to give them a new start to double their years in the lime light and to give joy to the person who receives them.
I am always amazed when I find a doll that has hand made clothes as some of them are amazing and each doll has a history and a story to tell. I often wonder who made these clothes, who could have spent all these hours hand stitching this beautiful dress?
Dolls that have recreated themselves and had additions to bring them back to there former glory are all obtained from vintage sources, small market traders and other small on line shops to support the local small shop community.
I hope you enjoy your doll as much as I have recreating , restoring and learning something new everyday is a gift in its self
