Weren't these the most delicate orange things I've owned in a long time. I've already worn them twice and just got them within the week. Very well made I might add.

Welcome to my shop!

I enjoy creating one of a kind, handmade jewelry using a variety of metals, beads and stones. My favorite materials to work with are natural stones. Currently I'm loving labradorite, jade and amethyst but that could change at any time. I don't think I've ever met a stone I didn't like. I enjoy creating items with unusual color combinations that are unique and maybe even a little on the funky, bohemian side. All of my items are handmade by me in my home.

I've always been creative and artistic throughout my life. I remember making little dolls out of sea shells as a young girl. I also went through a period of making beaded hair combs that I proceeded to sell on my elementary school playground. Needless to say, that endeavor was short lived. As an adolescent I painted extensively and especially enjoyed using vibrant colors in my art. As an adult I found I had less time to create art as I was busy in college and in my career as an elementary school teacher.

My interest in jewelry making started as an extension of my job. My coworkers and I took a beading class in order to make pretty lanyards for work. I was hooked after that class and my collection of beads and supplies rapidly grew as I experimented with making my own jewelry. Well, my ideas and creations were too many to keep to myself and my friends and family could only handle so many gifts of jewelry. That's when I decided to open a shop on Etsy.

When I'm not teaching or working on my jewelry you can find me reading, grading papers or out exploring on a hike and taking photos of the beauty around me. I was born and raised in a small town in Alaska and go back to visit every summer. There, I grew up to appreciate the beauty and serenity found in nature. I live in southern California now and continue to enjoy the outdoors. I am continually inspired by the natural world and its unique forms, textures and colors. I strive to translate this inspiration to my designs.

Thanks for hearing my story and browsing for baubles!
