Custom reclaimed furniture and goods from Austin. I like to saw shit.

I'm inspired by mid-century aesthetics, natural wood grain, brass, geometric shapes, and pops of bright color. I like the challenge of making something useful and beautiful out of trash and leftovers, and that applies to furniture building, casseroles, and my bourgeoning McDonald's dumpster sculpture practice.

I think that if you're going to have nice stuff in your house, it'll feel a lot nicer if it's a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece that was made by somebody who had fun doing it. I also think that nice stuff doesn't have to be made from fancy hardwoods. Some of the favorite things I've made have been from pallet wood and construction lumber.

After a fine woodworking class and some on-the-job training with a couple of joinery shops, I started making furniture for myself on an as-needed basis. Designing and building stuff is now equal parts hobby, side gig, and therapy for me. I work for an outdoor photography gear company by day, and I love it, but I spend most of my time on a computer. East Austin Sawdust is my opportunity to go into the shop (my garage) and saw shit for extended periods of time while listening to St. Louis Cardinals radio broadcasts on KMOX and occasionally drinking ice cold Budweisers.
