It's actually a lot bigger than I originally thought (which is great, I was worried it would be too small haha) and it is incredibly well made!!! Great quality! I come from family of whisky drinkers and I turned my brother on to this also, he's guna be orderin one as well.
I am One
In the beginning -
It all started with a simple idea – design my own drinkware with fun, simple designs. I didn’t envision a business, so I didn’t start with a formal plan. I had no background in business or sandblasting. I had no formal training, but I applied my research skills and learned the craft. I learned by doing! I am self-taught from design programs, photoresist stencils, and sandblasting techniques. It has also been a learning experience in e-commerce, social media, website design, and blogging.
And then it started -
After designing a few glasses, I knew I had something! I found Etsy and listed a few glasses. Shortly after, I had some sales. I realized that I was filling a niche and providing a product that people wanted. As my sales increased, I knew I needed a more efficient method than sitting down with a rotary tool and drawing on the glass. So started the sandblasting, and our house and shop became the location of my studio, warehouse and shipping center.
Being exposed -
Since then, East Mesa Design has shown up in several places on the Internet. I have been featured on several blogs, and a few big websites to include Brides.com, Anchor Hocking.com, and Denver Thrillist. My skull glasses have also been featured on WNBC New York Nonstop.
The mission -
As a mom of 2, and the owner/operator of East Mesa Design, I find myself working late nights and weekends creating designs, managing logistics, and packing orders. East Mesa Design has grown in many ways, but has remained a brand that creates fun designs that are as unique as you!
