About EclecticJudaica
Earth without Art is just Eh.
Rachael Brooke is an artist from Amherst, Massachusetts. Her menorahs are on display at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., the Jewish Museum in Berlin, Germany, and in the background of the remote office of PA Attorney General, Josh Shapiro, during the 2020 election. She grew up in suburban Philadelphia, where her kindergarten teacher expressed concern that she did not color inside the lines and couldn’t sit still. She graduated from Brandeis University and studied Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and Women’s Studies, completed a Masters’ Degree in Public Health from UMASS Amherst and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England. She has always been compelled to create and loves transforming trash into treasure. Hope is fundamental in her creations; hope that we can make a better world and that just because something is broken or torn does not mean it cannot be made into something more valuable and beautiful. When she is not making menorahs and making a mess of glitter, she works as a clinical psychologist, enjoys spending time with her two young children, long walks on the beach, gardening, convincing herself to do yoga, and remembering that like is too short and we should eat dessert first.
5% of proceeds of all Judaica are donated to the Jewish Community of Amherst Youth and Family Education Program. Proceeds of specific items are donated to The Big Black Man Project, Brandeis University, Hand in Hand, It Gets Better campaign, the Malala Fund, the Trevor Project, and more.
I welcome custom orders and am happy to arrange local pick up.
