About

Creating one of a kind casual accessories with a bohemian feel.

Art attracts, appeals and arouses my senses. Even at an early age, I was already attracted to color, shape, and arrangement. My mind and senses are calmed and focused whenever I am working and surrounded by art. Bringing a new idea to life is a passion that I have always pursued and fully immersed myself in.

The art of jewelry and craft was not something I studied, but more just something I do naturally. Adornments, baubles, colors, textures and small-scale objects are my intrigue; the imagination they produce within me continues to drive my ambitions to discover the next level.

As an advocate for a greener lifestyle and a passion to recycle, my jewelry is resourced from ordinary objects that could have potentially been discarded or met their destiny in an already crowded landfill. My jewelry is made from materials such as fallen trees, used wine corks, remnants of old copper gutters, salvaged metal pneumatic lines and wires, discarded tea tins, vintage beads, buttons and earrings, old T-shirts, used water bottles and antique vinyl records. When an idea is sparked, I can’t help but feel the eagerness to bring it to life. I’m not the type to think out or plan my next piece. Instead, I whole-heartedly dive right into my creative process; bead working, metal smithing and wire wrapping. Each piece I create is a unique and one-of a kind object. It is my focus to “upcycle”, to give each material I use a new and improved identity. I want people not to be able to recognize the materials in its past life but rather be surprised at what it is in its new life. For me, every found object is a challenge and inspiration to create something new!

Additional policies and FAQs
Although Eclectic Redesigns takes care to provide appropriate protection from skin reactions, Eclectic Redesigns will not be held responsible for any reactions due to skin contact from any metals used in the jewelry.

COATING: I coat all of my metal jewelry with either micro-crystalline jewelers wax, or a high quality polyurethane or lacquer to preserve the finish of the piece and to prevent "greening" of the skin.

OXIDATION AND PATINAS CARE:
All of the items in my shop that are oxidized have been chemically blackened, chemically patinated, and/or oxidized using a torch and sealed with protective coating. Like all oxidized metals that are sealed, they are not meant to be worn in water for extended periods of time or exposed to hard chemicals such as shampoos, soaps etc.

NO EXTENDED WATER CONTACT / NO EXPOSURE TO CHEMICALS
(no shampoos, rinses, conditioners, cleaning products)
