Announcement   Monocle Pendants, recycled Sari scarves, Pierced or Clip On Earrings, a variety of Watches and Covered Buttons, mainly one of a kind and unique from Eclecticasia Creation on Etsy. My shop will be have a limited amount of items available on Friday 12/9 while I attend a craft show (detailed on my main shop page below) as I will be taking most of the stock listed here and that is newly made for this event. Items can be reserved for purchase so that I don't take them with me to this event if you let me know by Thursday 8th Dec.
Many of my items have a vintage flair, many of them include eco elements of recycled/repurposed items, along with some European influence, making these items unique to the person wearing them.
An English poet William Cowper quoted "Variety is the Spice of Life, That gives it all it's Flavor" - This is something I try to accomplish with the variety of items I make. The sections on the left will help you to navigate within my shop.

Thanks for your interest and welcome!:)

This sweet woman worked with me to make something really special for my Mom and it's just beautiful. I recommend her highly. Very happy with everything. Very thankful. :)

Stunning is the word for all 5 necklaces. I requested a custom order for the tangerine and it is beautiful. The blue is absolutely gorgeous, I seriously love the pink and the red and mint (which Diane shopped for me to find) are outstanding. My little photos do not do these items justice, they are much prettier and you can't see the detail and how well they are made. Diane you have an amazing talent. How you keep your pieces at this reasonable price is beyond me. What a score finding you and I appreciate all the concentration and commitment you have shown. I have lovely new jewelry to wear and made a long lasting friend. Hugs, Kate Ok, how do I attach photos to show these off to the world?

About

Creating beautiful and unique items for wearing or accessorizing

I have a wide range of interests you will find a lot of different things here, new ideas with unique and one of a kind pieces as I don't normally replicate them, though there may be similarities. I create items with new, recycled and vintage items with a European style, which I hope is refreshing:)

When I'm not busy creating my day to day job is running our greenhouse business, which my husband assists me with, when he has time off, where we propagate our own plants (our greenhouse is heated through Winter) which are offered for sale here on Etsy and at local Farmers' Markets and other events. This year (2016) I will be working to add more, and new, items to my Etsy shops:)
Because much of my work is created on a sewing machine I now have 3 machines. Each is set up for a particular function to save time while I work. One is for straight sewing, the second for machine rolled hemming and the third for serging (overlocking) seams.

My recycled Sari scarves are cleaned by hand washing in Woolite and rinsed with cool water. Once dry I give them a further cleaning with a UV light, which thoroughly cleans the silks of dust mites/silk mites/odors so that the silk is as lovely as it can be.

Most of my jewelry items consist of necklaces with a focal pendant, such as a vintage or newer optical lens, a watch face or other interesting pieces I have gleaned through the years, new or old. The necklaces usually have handmade links which feature glass and metal beads and non nickel chains.
My new products this year are the watch faces (both new and vintage) which I have added handmade silk or cotton wraps of varying types and styles.
I also have 3 other shops on Etsy
EclecticasiaVintage (vintage items), MainlyManly ( a mix of vintage items and creations for men) and my plant shop. eclecticasia, (growing supplies only over the Winter months)....

Thanks for reading and your interest in my work:)

*Please note :Care should be taken when trying on silk ribbon, braided ribbon watches for the first time or two, until you're used to wrapping and tying them. I advise to do this over a soft surface so that breakage doesn't occur if dropped, as I cannot be responsible for user error*
Additional policies and FAQs
All recycled silk scarves in my shop have been handwashed in Woolite (Extra Delicates) which is suitable for silk and does not contain any bleach. The Sari scarves are prepared and ready to wear. I also use a Verilux Wand (UV light) to further clean these items. These are care instructions for the Sari scarves once they need cleaning:-
Wash in cool water (cold for bright or deep colors) with mild detergent. Rinse in cold water. Final rinse in distilled water, or boiled water that has been left to go cold, to keep your silk in nice condition. Squeeze and hang to dry out of direct sunlight, gently smooth into shape after a little while. Cool to medium iron if you wish once dry. If wrinkles persist use a little steam. If static is created with ironing pull over and through a smooth metal bar coat hanger or put in a tumble drier on a "no heat" setting for 5 minutes.
.
Custom orders for any of my handmade items are welcome:)
