Cape Cod Native making art!

Two years ago, I was a pregnant with a baby girl named Amelia, I was a surrogate. (not the mother just the oven, I had an embryo transferred in) As you can imagine. the process to even be approved to become a surrogate is CRAZY. It takes 6 months - a year. Any who, I lead a very healthy lifestyle and I was sure this pregnancy would be a breeze. I ended up being sicker than I could imagine and had to stop working. To keep myself busy I started knitting a ton and people saw what I was doing and asked if they could buy them, hats and headbands and what not. It was then I realized that my creativity held enough power to actually accrue income for my family.
Fast forward a year and a half and I made a huge wall art painting for my home on plywood and searched for a way to seal it so that it would be intact forever and I stumbled across resin. The more I learned about resin the more I discovered it wasn't just used for boats and sealants, it was used in an art form. I was mesmerized. I've always been earthy and seeing the possibility to make geode and natural schemes as functional pieces of art was so exciting. I delved in. Watched every video I could find, read every review and blog, connected with established artists who could answer questions and spent months studying until I gave it a go. From there I have just continued to evolve trying bigger and bigger items that are more complex and honing the craft of resin art. If you've made it this far and are still reading, thank you for taking the time to learn about me and I hope you enjoy my creations! There is a little bit of Cape Cod in each one, and a whole lot of love.
