Original Art, Made to Stitch
Welcome to Ela Milko Stitchery, a collection of original needlepoint designs created by artist and illustrator Ela Milko in New York City.
I have spent my creative life drawing, painting, illustrating and designing, and now I bring that artwork into another medium: needlepoint.
Every design begins as my own original artwork. I develop each piece specifically for needlepoint, simplifying shapes, refining colors and adjusting details so the design translates clearly onto the canvas and remains enjoyable to stitch. Each canvas is then carefully transferred and painted by hand in my NYC studio.
My collections are designed as small worlds of coordinating artwork, from seasonal and New York-inspired designs to playful, decorative and giftable pieces.
My goal is simple: to create distinctive little pieces of art that are as enjoyable to stitch as they are to discover.
