The name "Elekbas" is an Arabic phrase of two words elek bas,إلك بس which means, just fro you, addressing the girl or woman, I choose this name basically because I usually make things for women or girls.
After becoming a freelance Translator, and voice over, I barely find time for crafts, sewing or crochet, but still, from time to time, I come up with new stuff, and I find time for them. Then I designed my Fancy Lap Desk, or the cushion desk to use when working on my freelance projects, I spend a long time on my laptop and I found the Lap Desk really helping me to stay comfortable while working, then I decided to make more desks, for family members or friends, and may be start selling them locally, and, why not to sell them on Etsy, I love Etsy.
I am so lucky to have an Artist carpenter father, who helped me in this, he makes the boards, and I make the cushions, and I am so happy to start selling my first collection on Etsy.
