About ElektraCeramics
Joyful handmade ceramics
I love clay because it allows me to make ceramics that are playful, that look dreamy, like they are designed on a piece of paper and then brought to life. The challenge is to also make them functional, comfortable to use.
My aim is to create things that bring you joy on an ordinary day.
My ceramics are made in my home studio, which is right above my house in Athens. I don’t use the potters’ wheel and each piece is unique made with the pinch technique (that is shaping a piece of clay by hand), or with slabs, then hand painted, fired two times and glazed. There might be some similarities on a design you see on a piece, but one will never be identical to another.
Pottery is a side project for the time being and even though I make pottery on mostly all of my free time, the pieces I make are limited.
My shop will be restocked once a month with new pieces that come out of the kiln.
