I have experienced abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
Because of that, I learned early what it feels like to be left carrying things alone.
For a long time, I moved through life trying to survive what had already happened. I learned how easy it is to neglect yourself when you are used to being overlooked, and how natural it can feel to abandon your own needs when no one taught you how to stay.
Writing became the place where I stopped leaving myself behind.
Journaling and poetry allowed me to name what I felt without explaining it, to release what I was holding without being asked to relive it, and to slowly return to myself. Over time, I realized that healing did not come from pushing harder, but from learning to be gentle with my own truth.
Élevé Mind exists because I do not want anyone to feel like they have to abandon themselves to survive. My work is meant to encourage self presence, self compassion, and release. It is an invitation to feel without shame, to let go without destruction, and to choose peace without guilt.
You matter. Your experiences matter. Your feelings matter.
None of us deserve to carry everything alone.
These journals and poems are offered as quiet companions, reminders that you are allowed to stay with yourself, and that softness is not weakness. It is care. It is strength. It is choosing not to disappear from your own life.
With care
Ashley
