Announcement   Welcome to Eliza Burton Jewelry! Every piece of adornment in my shop is lovingly handcrafted by me with a hammer and a torch in my Georgetown, Texas studio. I'm just a teacher who took a metal smith class one year ago, and fell in love. Thanks so much to all who have supported me on this journey. Because of you, I'm able to continue to learn and grow everyday.

I offer a variety of made to order pieces, as well as many one of a kind and limited pieces that are ready to ship. Thank you for visiting my store and supporting the smallest of small businesses!

SHIPPING:
Made to order pieces are currently mailed within 2 weeks of your order. Items marked as ready to ship are mailed within 2 business days.

Shipping on additional items is always free!

SIZING:
I recommend you be sized by a professional jeweler if possible. If not, amazon has some inexpensive ring sizers available.
***If ordering a wide band ring (>6mm) make sure to size up 1/2 to 1 full ring size. Wide band rings for more snugly.***

RETURNS:
Most pieces have a no-questions asked return policy. Simply return the item within 14 days of receipt and I will refund the sales price (not including shipping). The exception is for gold made to order items.

REVIEWS:
Like all shops that are just starting out, I always appreciate positive reviews! If you have any issue at all, please let me make it right before leaving a review. I want you to love your purchase!

***Gold made to order rings are considered custom orders and are non-refundable. I order gold on a per-order basis and make the rings especially for you. Because of the high material cost involved, I can't afford to accept returns (unless it is due to my own error of course). Please ensure you order the correct size, look carefully at photos, and pay attention to product dimensions.***

About

Edgy handmade jewelry crafted with a hammer and a torch in Georgetown, Texas.

I've always been a maker, but it wasn't until recently that I picked up a torch and a hammer to render beauty from raw silver and stone. Growing up, I was interested in art, but always pulled toward math and science because of a natural gift in those areas. I ultimately combined my maker's heart with my affinity for science by pursuing a career in civil engineering. It was through this avenue that I was able to design amazing things; dams, bridges, roads, railroads. There was no greater exhilaration than watching something that I had designed on paper being constructed in life size dimensions.

Over the years, I began to yearn for something more, but I had no idea what that might be. After 8 years as a Civil Engineer, I hung up my hard hat, and entered the public school classroom to encourage the next generation. I took nearly a 50% pay cut to follow a passion. When I became a teacher, I vowed to make the most of the gift of summer by finding new ways to learn and better myself each year. We each only have one life. It's up to us what we do with it.

This past summer, I impulsively signed up for an intensive 1 month long soldering and manufacturing class at a local studio. From the moment someone placed a torch in my hand, I felt like I was coming home. I was hooked. I have spent countless hours since that time, tinkering in the home studio that my husband made for me. I take my time on each piece that I make, and truly pour myself into my work. I prefer to work on one piece at a time, and see it through to completion before beginning the next. I find a stone that speaks to me, and take it from there. My favorite stones are labradorite, rutilated quartz and any other unique or flashy stone that I can find. Jewelry is a love of mine. It's how I unwind from long days in the public school classroom. I hope that you find something that speaks to you in my shop. I can guarantee it was made with love.

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

Because handmade jewelry is so delicate, caring for it requires special measures.

Clean Regularly: Jewelry can be polished with a polish cloth. If that does not remove tarnish/etc, warm water and mild soap can be used.

Treat it right: Never wear your jewelry while swimming, sunbathing or cleaning; extensive exposure to saltwater, sunlight or harsh chemicals can permanently damage your handmade jewelry.

Store properly: When you're not wearing your handmade jewelry, keep it safe from tarnish and age by storing in your jewelry box. Handmade jewelry should never be stored in the open air. Sterling silver jewelry should be ideally be kept in an air tight plastic bag to prevent tarnish.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Your jewelry comes packaged in a gift box. If you would like me to include a gift note, just let me know!
