Capturing the Beauty of Nature with an Art Nouveau Influence

Inspiration for my pieces comes from my abundant gardens and pond, and the surrounding landscapes. Nature provides endless inspiration for my pieces, from the simple linear shapes of branches and shadows, to the lush fullness of blossoms and buds, to the twining shape of vines.

My work is naturalistic and flowing. I like the simple elegance of a single leaf pendant, the impression captured from an actual leaf from my garden, rendered in sterling silver. Leaves, flowers, honeybees, birds and fish all are featured in my work.

These naturalistic elements gain stories when they are paired with unique stones. My one of a kind collection is based on the story that each stone evokes, whether it be rutile prehnite, which reminds me of the dappled depths of my pond, or poppy jasper, which captures the exuberance of summer’s blooms.

My passion for gardening (I have been a Master Gardener since 1995), and love of the Art Nouveau and Victorian eras have all contributed to the unique aesthetic that I am recognized for. I have done self-directed instruction and have experimented extensively to develop all the techniques I incorporates into my work.

I have been creating jewelry for nine years, and recently have forayed into fiber arts, most notably wool felting, which lets me “watercolor” with wool, and create heirloom table runners and scarves. Of course, my subjects are flowers, leaves and birds.

I am a juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, and participate in many juried shows, including Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.

Each piece of jewelry I make is individually created, from concept to fabrication to patination. For pieces that I create more thanonce, I strive for consistency, though there may be small variations. Also, pearls and gems are naturally occuring elements, and there may be slight differnces in tone (and shape for pearls). If the piece for some reason doesn't meet your expecations, please contact me immediately and I will work with you to make sure you are happy.

I make multiples of many of my pieces, so even if an item has be sold, I can usually make a piece for you. If you'd like more than one of a piece and only one is listed, please contact me so I can set up a custom listing.

I do offer special pricing for multiple orders, such as bridesmaid's gifts, and welcome wholesale inquiries.

I accept custom orders, and many of the items I make regularly can be modified (made with a different stone, put on a different chain or chain length, or given a different clasp, etc.).

Feedback is always appreciated. Please let me know if you have any concerns before leaving feedback. Thank you!
