      Members of the Sussex Guild are delighted to be exhibiting for the first time at Borde Hill Gardens this summer when Sussex Guild members will be showing their inspiring work in a large marquee on the lawns. Come to meet the designer makers and see spectacular examples of ceramics, furniture, glass, jewellery, metalwork, print making, textile art, woodwork and more; most of the work can be purchased, or specially commissioned. In addition, there will be craft demonstrations including raku techniques and kiln firings. You can spend a delightful day at this enchanting venue, wandering through the gardens, enjoying refreshments in the café and meeting the talented designer-makers of the Sussex Guild who will be pleased to discuss their work with you. With skilled demonstrations, fine crafts and beautiful gardens there is plenty to see, I promise that you will not be disappointed!

      For over 50 years Sussex Guild members have been showing at delightful Michelham Priory and Gardens. This year the three-day event will take place at the beginning August, with exhibitors in the Elizabethan barn and in marquees on the lawns. However, it is the craft demonstrations that make this show special. Here you will see demonstrations of various creative textiles and woodworking skills together with several potters showing different aspects of their craft. With delightful gardens, England’s largest moat, Tudor house, watermill, reconstructed prehistoric round houses, children’s play area and licensed restaurant there’s something for everyone at Michelham Priory. Come and meet the craftspeople at our Contemporary Craft Show at Michelham, you will have a great day out and you may find something special to take home, too! Opening times: 10.30am – 5pm

      Once again, members of the Sussex Guild are delighted to be invited to exhibit at Pashley Manor Gardens. Selected for their high degree of skill and creativity, Guild members will be showing their excellent and inspiring work at Pashley. In a large marquee looking down on the old, timber-framed manor house, you will discover spectacular examples of ceramics, furniture, textiles, jewellery, woodwork, glass, metalwork and more; most of the work can be purchased, or possibly specially commissioned. Pashley Manor is a quintessential English garden located on the Sussex and Kent border and has been described as one of the finest gardens in England. You can spend a delightful day at this beautiful venue, wandering through the gardens, enjoying delicious refreshments in the café and meeting the talented designer-makers of the Sussex Guild who will be pleased to discuss their work with you.

      The De la Warr Pavilion is an iconic 1930s building. It presents a rolling programme of art exhibitions and concerts as well as having a beautiful shop and a cafe overlooking the beach. The bright and stylish Café Bar and Kitchen use fresh, seasonal ingredients, locally-sourced where possible, for delicious lunches, sandwiches and cakes. There is a great range of wines, boutique beers, soft drinks, speciality teas and coffees. Food and drink can be enjoyed on the balconies, overlooking the sea. Our Contemporary Craft Show will comprise fifty stands exhibiting the full diversity of our work and including several newer members of the Guild. The Guild will be exhibiting in the ground floor auditorium where visitors can meet the designer-makers of spectacular, well designed and beautifully made crafts that are professionally created in small workshops and studios in East and West Sussex and the adjacent counties.

      We are delighted to be returning to the spacious, modern surroundings of the recently-built Midhurst Rother College – last year’s show proved very popular with visitors and exhibitors alike. Once again highly-skilled designer-makers from Sussex and the adjoining counties will provide a colourful feast of creativity to brighten the dark days of winter. The show is perfectly timed for Christmas shopping and, with over fifty members of The Sussex Guild showing their beautiful and varied work, visitors will be spoilt for choice. The café within the show area will provide light refreshments throughout the weekend. More substantial fare can be found in the cafés, hotels and pubs in the delightful medieval town of Midhurst.
