Drawing, painting, writing... are activities that bring me a lot of joy, fulfillment, and sometimes even comfort. I have always liked to create. From very early on, I was surrounded by colored pencils, glue, scissors, and sheets of paper in which I used to write stories, illustrate and staple together forming my very first “books”. I feel privileged because I chose art as my work. I seek inspiration in nature, in people, in trips, and throughout the day-to-day life that I share with my family that I love so much. For me, art is a gift God gave to people to be happier!


Ellen Pestili is a mixed media artist and an author and illustrator of children’s books. She has written 15 books and illustrated around 50. She is Brazilian of Italian descent. Nowadays, she lives with her husband and two sons in Orlando, Florida, United States.
