One of many steps for a hand lettered design. As you can see, I was not happy with any of the "always".

About

Sign Maker By Day, Graphic Designer By Night

As cliché as it sounds, I always knew I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. Everything was a canvas. It all started with crayons on my bedroom walls. When my hair grew long I colored the ends with markers. Even though it always go me in trouble. You wouldn’t believe how cool Elmers glue and shag carpet can be. Let’s also not forgot how awesome sidewalk chalk was, then to discover it also worked well on brick and car tires. You can still see the chalk rabbit on the brick of my parents fireplace surrounding.

I always dreamed of having a huge open studio with left over paint covering the walls and floor from the paintings I had created. As I grew older I lost interest in painting because I could never get the final image to look like it did in my head. While in college I decided to take a Photoshop class and that was when I knew digital design was what I wanted to do.

I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design, and immediately started working at a local sign shop. Although I get to design car wraps, window graphics and large business signs I felt really limited creativity wise and that’s when Elm Street Studios was born. I’m filled with joy that I am able to make things that are being sent all over the world, and I can’t wait to make something for you!
