Very good shape. Thank you.
Books. Books. Books.
If you like old books (especially beautifully illustrated ones), this is the shop for you.
Chief book finder.
Passed off the shop to Bonnie (her mom) after moving to New York.
Personally, I love books even when they're a little worse for a wear - I think they're a worthwhile purchase if you can still read them and/or use them to decorate your home (because that's another awesome use for old books).
Every book in the shop will probably have a bit of the "old book smell" about it - I'll only make note of that in the listings if it's particularly... pungent.
If you have any questions about the book you're interested in, want a more detailed description OR would like to see a few extra images - just let me know!
I'd never sell any book that I wouldn't personally be happy spending money on - but my definition of what makes a book in "purchasable condition" may be different than yours, so please be sure to read the condition notes carefully before ordering.
You know yourself - if you're someone who is very particular about what your books look like, buying vintage books online may not be the best choice. You should purchase them in a store where you can actually examine them by hand. Many of my books are old library books - they've been loved a lot. I'm not a fancy book dealer: I sell books to enjoy and read, even if they're a little bit worse for the wear.
Long story short, if you're looking for books in immaculate condition, this probably isn't the shop for you.
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
Sorry, but I do not reserve books.
Items will be shipping from Maine (USA) and, typically, via the USPS / Media Mail. This is the cheapest method (yay) but usually the slowest method (not so yay).
If there's a huge discrepancy between what you are charge for shipping fees and what they actually ends up costing, I'll refund the difference to your PayPal account or credit card.
If you are ordering a ton of books, I'll usually be able to offer you discounted shipping - just convo me and I'll put a price together!
If your country isn't listed as one of the shipping options but you're interested in purchasing a book - just contact me & I'll look up shipping costs for you.
International buyers are responsible for all import duties and taxes - they are not included in the shipping costs.
I wish I could offer international shipping at cheaper prices, but - thanks to the postal service, that just isn't possible.
Refunds and Exchanges
(I feel like I've written the word "description" twenty times...).
If (horrors of horrors) you're dissatisfied with your book... just send me a convo or email - I'll try to work it out with you. I want you to be happy! That would make me a happy Etsy shop owner.
In general, if you want a refund you'll need to return the book to me (in the condition it was in when I sent it) and I'll refund your money once I receive it. There are no refunds for shipping costs.
