I love this ring. It was described exactly as to how it looks and the pictures were accurate. I will be back to this shop. The ring came fast which is extremely important

About

Em-Bound!

I decided to play around with wire wrapping gems one day to create some fun pieces to wear. I had so much fun doing it I created way more than I'd ever be able to wear. Wire wrapping and working with precious metal silver clay (PMC--99.9% silver) is very relaxing at the end of a long day.

You might be wondering how the name "EmBound" came to be. My husband and I were pursuing the adoption of our youngest child "Em" around the time I began making jewelry. That's partly where the "Em" in "Embound" came from. It also reflects the binding of wire and my devotion to my faith in Christ as well. Embound was just the right shop name all the way around.

Since, I've found other outlets at the end of a tiring day. I also paint using primarily watercolor, and draw using India ink pens. You can find my original art and prints here on Etsy too by visiting: http://emboundart.etsy.com/

Gemology is my passion! For years I've collected common to rare and exotic gems. I've developed a surplus of them too! I've continued to purchase gems to study and when done, I offer them in my gem shop for reasonable prices as supplies for other artists and collectors here on Etsy: http://emboundgem.etsy.com/ I have earned my Gemologist diploma through the GIA in addition to my Accredited Jewelry Professional Diploma.

I love to trade with other Etsians! I really try to trade for things I "need" or have really fallen in love with. If you too are an Etsy seller in good standing and are interested in trading, please feel free to send me a convo. and just let me know you're a trade friendly shop. If I don't find something right away it doesn't mean I may not come back to you around the holiday time.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read a bit about me and my shops. I hope you find working with me a great Etsy experience.

Hello! It is sincerely an honor to have you visit my shop. I'm a jewelry addict with a love for vintage and antique fine jewelry. Here you will find many pieces from my personal collection I'm ready to pass along, as well as pieces I've created from my earlier days of jewelry design in sterling wire and PMC fine silver.

I'm a proud member of CAST (Christian Artitsts Street Team) and PDX Etsy (Portland, Oregon Artists).

Payment
We accept most major credit cards through Etsy's direct checkout or Paypal. Paypal will allow you to pay by e-check too, however these transactions tend to take about 10 business days to clear and, as a result, will delay the shipping your package until that time.
Shipping
All items will be shipped via USPS with confirmation of delivery and insurance to the US. To keep rates reasonable, international orders will just have tracking. Ordered items will be sent out within 2 business days unless otherwise stated.

DISCLAIMER: We are not responsible after items reach the post office. We also can not be held responsible once packages leave the US, should items go missing or there be issues with customs. To date I've never had a problem with customers not receiving goods. Shipping times are much longer though.

Your item will be thoughtfully packaged to avoid any potential damage during delivery.

1/31/16: Regrettably after nearly 7 years here on Etsy, I've had to raise my shipping and handling charges. International orders will see the biggest hit. I LOVE my international buyers too so this breaks my heart. I'm not looking to profit off my handling fees but will refund some if there is an excessive difference.
Refunds and Exchanges
While all sales are to be considered final, if you should have a problem with your piece, please let me know and I will work with you to fix it.

I do my best to provide accurate descriptions, but if an item is found to be grossly misrepresented, I will gladly provide a refund.
Additional policies and FAQs
PRICING: "Hello, my name is Melissa and I'm a gem and jewelry addict." Whew...there, it's out! Most of my pieces here are from my personal collections. Therefore I don't always get crazy good deals where I jack the prices way up. My shop is a hobby business more than anything; I use to help support my family. I'm not able to do deep discounts as some shops here are. I also pay hefty taxes on business here, so my profit on Etsy is not great after taxes, listing and selling fees, credit card fees, and of course my item cost. I'm here because I LOVE to share and hopefully I can make a few dollars doing it too in order to compensate for my time.

RESERVED LISTINGS: I know what it's like to fall in love with a one of a kind piece and payday is just days away. I will reserve a listing for serious buyers only for a few days. Please understand, it hurts shop owners to miss out on sales opportunities when someone asks for a reserve then purposely flakes out. Don't be that person. Unfortunately, I've had too many do this to me so I'm hesitant to continue for more than a few days any more.

LAYAWAY: Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of working like a bank so my layaway terms are not as liberal as some. I've had too many abuse this and don't want to work like a collection agency. It's not my style. If there is an item over $300 I will take half up front and require payment of the other half within 30 days. No coupon codes will be accepted on any layaways and a 10% restocking fee will be held for those who don't honor payment completion (the balance will be refunded). For purchases over $500 I may divide into 3rds. I will not do terms past 60 days (a third payment up front, a third payment every 30 days apart thereafter). My shop is more of a hobby than a traditional business. I really appreciate your understanding :).
