All my creations are a love letter to the world.

There is so much beauty in the world, but sometimes it's easy to miss. My aim is to bring that beauty into your home, to adorn your person and be seen and smiled at on a regular basis. That's what my jewellery is all about. My knitted and crocheted accessories are also about comfort as well as beauty. I like to think that my work goes out into the world with hearts and flowers, joy and happiness, bluebirds, and the taste of raspberries. I place all this magic in a pearl, a crystal, a silver charm, thread it on a necklace, an earring, a bracelet. I offer it to you, to wear the magic or nature and of yourself, on wrist, at throat, of dangling from an ear.

I've been making jewellery, knitting and doing various crafts for a lot of years. People have often told me my work is good enough to sell, so I decided to do that. I love designing pretty things, so what you'll find in my shop is the result of my creative inspiration, whether it's a crocheted purse, a pair of earrings, a knitted brooch, a beaded bracelet, or a knitting pattern.

I'm lucky to have an artist for a brother, and the Celtic Heart embroidery pattern was created from a design of his. It's not all commercial, though. At last count, I've crocheted ten small baby blankets for a charity called Cherished Gowns, plus baby hats and mittens. I often take my crochet or my knitting with me to do in the car, at the pub, or while socialising with friends. One friend once commented that there were four of us chatting together, and three were fascinated by my knitting - I was the only one not watching it! (I was using my pixie hood pattern at the time.)

Making lovely things is part of my life, not just something I do for money. It's my way of contributing beauty and comfort to the world.
