Living my dream
My mother taught me to sew when I was 8 years old, which was over 50 years ago, after I pestered her long enough to teach me to sew clothes for my Barbie doll. I wasn't azllowed to use her Singer machine so i learned to sew by hand at first. When I was 10 she taught me to sew on her machine and my whole world became a world of sewing clothes for my dolls. By the time I was 13 I was sewing for my dolls and myself. After my initial lessons from my mom I became a self learner. Not because my mom didn't want to teach me but because I wasn't a patient student and was always wanting to do things on my own. Sewing has been my passion ever since. When I got married and had children I started sewing clothes for my children and when I had a beautiful little girl I fell in love with ruffles. I would sew the Daisy Kingdom dresses and I believe my daughter was the best dressed little angel in church.
A couple of years ago I was hit hard with medical problems and was unable to sew anything. My world was bleak but gradually I started sewing again but wasn't able to sew clothes because of my fractured back and the manipulation that I needed to do to sew clothes was hard on my back.
Today I focus on creating beautiful handcrafted placemats, quilts and home decor that bring warmth, comfort and a touch of charm to everyday life. Each piece is made by hand in my home, with the same care and dedication I've carried with me for decades.
Thank you for supporting my small shop and allowing me to share what I love with you.
