beautiful hat, fits comfortably and yet it is very stylish. The flower can be taken off and exchanged for one in another color, which makes the hat really versatile. I'll get years of joy out of this. Thank you!
Uplifting the world one stitch at a time
Creativity has always played an important role in my life. As a young girl I learned to crochet and knit from my mother and grandmother. Later as a young adult I took interest in sewing, which turned into a passion. Sewing and creating became an inseparable part of my life and helped me to develop patience and perseverance among other things.
I take pride in creating each item and completing every order. I pay attention to details and always strive to improve whatever and whenever I can. I find communication with buyers very important and appreciate their feedback - positive or negative. For me "negative" doesn't mean "bad", it just points to something that needs a special attention and/or improvement, therefore it is invaluable.
I like the Shaker's motto "Put your hands to work and your hearts to God" because it reflects proper priorities in life. Work is not something separate, it's a part of life, the same as God is not apart from life, but is Life itself, not somebody or something we turned to when we are in need, when we feel like it or make time for on Sundays. God is not a religious figure for me neither. For me God is Life itself, Truth, Light, Goodness, Love, Nobility, Compassion... "Hands to work, heart to God" means to me expressing virtues through ones work and conduct. Being present and awake in each moment as it unfolds and responding to it's impressions with dignity and self-command. This way the work I do is not only creating something tangible, but also simultaneously an inner work on oneself, so all the gifts and qualities my Creator has seeded inside of me can germinate and blossom in the way they are intended to, spreading their blessing to others. Like a small candle can light the darkness, every conscious effort to be present IS a little light that has the power to uplift the world. Thus I hope to uplift the world, one stitch at a time.
While the majority of work is done by me, my children occasionally help with small tasks. Besides modeling and helping me with picture taking, they help me find displaced tools and items, give a helping hand when needed and they love to bring packages to the post office.
