Announcement   Welcome, all! emmy bean jewelry is handcrafted in a small studio in Bucks County, PA. Most pieces are one of a kind, and I encourage custom orders: you are a unique individual, your jewelry should be, too! Be sure to follow me on Instagram (@emmybeanjewelry) for exclusive sneak peeks, coupon codes and sale announcements! I have a penchant for conflict free raw diamonds, opals, rose cut stones, watermelon tourmaline and unusual cabochons.

*Turnaround time for any custom/made-to-order item is 7 to 10 business days (plus however long it takes to ship). Please let me know if you'd like to purchase Rush Production to have your items created and mailed out faster than the quoted timeline.*

I have a second shop on Etsy, where I strictly sell vintage jewelry:
http://vintagebyemmybean.etsy.com
...................................................................................................................................
**All the silver I use is recycled or "eco silver," meaning it's reclaimed and not freshly mined. I use natural ingredients for soldering the silver, such as borax, and use good ol' salt and vinegar to clean the silver after it's been soldered. The Earth is precious, and I'm trying to be a good citizen and do my part.**

Ordering a ring? Please take a minute to ensure you're requesting the correct size! Most of my rings *cannot be resized* without doing a complete rebuild of the ring (which is costly!). I offer an easy to use ring sizer for $1.60 with free shipping: https://www.etsy.com/listing/152032392/reusable-flexible-plastic-ring-sizer

Questions, comments, etc., feel free to send me a message through Etsy, and be sure to visit me on Facebook (Emmy Bean Jewelry). Thanks!

About

Handmade with heart

I'm a jewelry artist with over 12 years of experience, and a whole lot of passion.

I first learned metalworking while in college and studying Art Education, and it quickly became something I couldn't live without. I worked in the publishing world for 10 years while tinkering away in the studio during my downtime from work. I continued learning new techniques, was part of a wonderful jewelry artist collective (Bluestem Studio), and then when the collection parted ways, I set out on my own on Etsy.

Now I'm a full time jewelry artist, having walked away from my day job in 2013. This has let me spend so much more time with my daughter, and still be able to focus on my work in the studio.

Creating jewelry is my passion, as is adhering to eco-friendly methods... it's not just better for the earth, but healthier for myself and anyone else who spends time in my studio.

The majority of my pieces are one of a kind; I feel that each person is unique, so their jewelry should be, too! I'm lucky enough for my dream job to be a full time gig, and it's all thanks to wonderful people like yourself who support independent artists who make each piece by hand.

I first started creating jewelry way back in college. One class turned into many classes, which turned into a passion. At the end of March 2013, I walked away from my book publishing job of 10 years; being a jewelry artist is now my full time gig.

Payment

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE:
Etsy sellers are not responsible for customs fees/import taxes/VAT imposed on you by your country of residence. As a buyer, you are solely responsible for paying these charges. Falsifying customs declaration forms in order to help a buyer avoid these taxes and fees is against the law, and comes with a punishment of up to $10,000 USD with the possibility of up to 5 years of imprisonment. Further information about these laws can be found here:
http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/uscode/13/9/305
Shipping
I ship using USPS, and I always use Tracking and insure your parcel.

Standard shipping is USPS First Class (or USPS First Class International); upgrades to Priority/Priority International and Priority Express/Priority International Express are available, and can be selected upon checkout.
Refunds and Exchanges
Not happy with your purchase? Please let me know why you're not satisfied (didn't fit; computer monitor color misrepresented true color; zombie invasion, etc.) We can work out one of several things:

1. For an unaltered, ready-to-ship item, I could refund your order (minus shipping fees) upon receipt of the returned item(s). Item(s) must be returned within 7 business days and sent in the condition it was received; package must be sent using my packaging instructions, and using Tracking and Insurance. If the item is a ring that was sized, it can be returned, but with a 25% restocking fee.
2. If it's a ring that is the wrong size we can discuss resizing options. In most cases, rings that need to be made smaller need to be recreated from scratch. You will be responsible for paying for shipping both ways. If a ring needs to be sized up more than 1 full size, it needs to be rebuilt, and is subject to a fee due to deconstructing the original ring and building a new one from scratch; this fee will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the amount of materials and work involved.
3. If the item just isn't exactly what you were looking for, but would rather do an exchange, we can do that, too. Please message me for more details.

**Custom and made-to-order items are NOT eligible for refund. I have clients involved in the development process (i.e. approving photos of gemstones) so as to work out any kinks before production is begun, that way we're on the same page and there's no unexpected surprises when you receive your item(s).**
Additional policies and FAQs
I love doing custom orders... let me know what you're looking for and I'll see if I can help make that dream a reality. Please allow at least one week for custom orders to be created and shipped--it may take longer depending upon complexity.

IF YOU NEED YOUR CUSTOM ORDER IN 48 HOURS OR LESS: This can be done with prior arrangement, but is subject to a rush production fee, in addition to the cost of the item and USPS Express shipping fees.

Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

Unsure of the ring size needed? Please size yourself (or whomever the ring is for) one of two ways: either visit a jeweler and ask them to size you (it's free!), or use a tool such as this:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/152032392/reusable-flexible-plastic-ring-sizer?

DO NOT attempt to use paper or string and a ruler to measure your ring size, measure another ring that you own, or base your size off of trying on someone else's ring. Why? 99% of the time it will result in an incorrect measurement, and then a finished ring which is too large. Ring resizing can be costly, and in many cases, the ring would need to be rebuilt depending on the gemstone used.

Texture and Finish combinations

Many of my custom/made-to-order items allow you to choose the texture and finish you prefer, however there isn't enough room in each listing to show photographs of each example. Please visit this listing to see examples of various combinations:

Gift wrapping and packaging

All of my items are packaged in a stamped box, wrapped with a black satin bow and ready for gift giving.
