Very top heavy. Keeps tipping on my horses head. Would have been better with some kind of base.

I’m very sorry this horn did not work well for this customer. As stated in the listing, these horns are made with an elastic band unless I am contacted about doing it differently. I have worked with many happy horse owners on their needs for their horses (the horse in the picture in this listing is wearing it with just the elastic band), and would have been more than happy to work with her on this as well. Any horse owner who is unsure whether or not the elastic will work for them may contact me via message before purchase.

This headband was the perfect purchase. It was beautifully made and is very sturdy. This headband truly fits children AND adults and I am so happy with the quality of the product. It was well worth the money and I am extremely happy with it.

Felt and Magic

I have always been a maker, whether I was drawing or doing some sort of craft. I remember my mom proudly toting off a box of my homemade wares to work, where her well meaning coworkers would purchase an fabric covered embroidery hoop filled with cheap potpourri and embellished with ribbon, lace, and who-knows-what by way of hot glue. I still remember the smell of that cheap potpourri. I'd like to officially thank my mom now. :)

When I got out of high school I joined the military, and afterward I went to college and got a logical job that allowed very little room for creativity. I had a child (a son) and I worked as a single mom for a while, supporting the two of us and feeling quite accomplished about that. And then my second child, a girl, was born, and my husband and I decided that I could stay home with her. I left my corporate job and haven't looked back.

My shop started off on a whim. I made a headpiece for my daughter for Halloween, and the encouragement of friends made my head big enough to think I actually had something that could sell. Suddenly, that huge part of me that craved creativity awakened and I found myself constantly trying new things and new ways of doing old things. I am not afraid to experiment with different mediums, and I'm always on the lookout for unique things to work with.

As a child, you would often find me doodling princesses, unicorns and other enchanted things. This shop is a way for me to reconnect with my inner child and bring those things to life, and my goal is to make every experience with one of my products as magical as possible.

I can't tell you how many unicorns and princesses I drew, painted, or colored as a young'n; and now I'm using it to make fanciful things for my children's generation.

Additional policies and FAQs

I do my best to display colors as accurately as possible, however, variances can occur due to factors out of my control. Individual monitors and their settings (such as brightness and contrast) can cause the colors to look slightly different. If you have any questions about the colors or would like to see additional pictures of any of my items, please just let me know. I can also send you swatches for a nominal fee.

About my crowns:

I have found that an 18 inch crown is a great 1 year old size, and that the 20 inch crowns work well for ages 2-8 or so. Of course, head sizes can vary and some 1 year olds may need a larger size. If a crown is listed as 18 inch and you would like the 20 inch, just let me know during checkout. I can also make any crown I offer in an adult sizes, just contact me for a custom listing. All crowns have an adjustable hook and loop fastener, so even if I crown is listed as 18 inches, it will fit a 16 inch head or a 20 inch head, too.

My items come from a smoke free home, but I do have feline beasties. I store my felt and creations in drawers, but I cannot guarantee that a stray hair will never make it into a box. Please keep this in mind if you are allergic to cats.

Many of my items contain wool. Wool blend felt is a mixture of 20/80% or 35/65% wool/rayon and comes in many colors. I've chosen wool blend felt for its beauty and durability, as it does not stretch like other types of felt.

Please keep in mind that all my items that are not found in my "ready to ship" category are made to order, so every piece will be unique. This is part of the charm of handmade and I assure you that variances will be slight and will not detract from the look of the item. Quality is of the utmost importance to me, and I don't send anything out that doesn't look like what you ordered.
