With many years of professional experience as a carpenter and in the animation industry, I wanted to combine the processes of both while also showing the value of sound ecological practices.

My commitment to sustainable and reclaimed wood is the foundation on which the shop operates. I will only use these materials, and finding new sources of reclaimed lumber is part of the fun. I believe that the dings, nail holes, and age stains are wonderful, distinct and organic markings that enhance the piece rather than detract.

Once I have reclaimed lumber that I like, I sand and plane the wood to a smooth state, and let the color and grain inspire new ideas for designs.

I design pieces that I myself would want in my home, and test the designs with prototypes until I feel that they function and look as best as can be.

I shape the pieces by hand and then use a CNC machine to inscribe or carve the design (like the Ohm symbol or the Skull). I create all of my own designs for the CNC using 3d animation software. then I hand router, sand, stain and finish each piece.
