Frequently asked questions
How do I download my digital purchase?
Downloads are available once your payment is confirmed. If you pay with PayPal or a credit card on Etsy, confirmation might take a few minutes.
Etsy will send you two different emails: a download notification and a transaction notification email.
Alternatively you can access your digital purchases directly from your account:
- Click on “Your Account”
- Choose “Purchases and reviews”
- Locate the order. Click on “Download Files” (to the right of the order)
The file will go to your “Downloads” folders
Please note that you can't download a digital purchase through the Etsy app. To download a digital file, please sign in to Etsy on your mobile browser or a non-mobile computer.
How do I download my digital purchase as a guest?
If you check out your purchase as a guest, you'll find a link to download your purchase in the receipt email sent to you after purchase.
What should I do if I am having difficulty downloading the file with both the download link and from my account?
It’s very simple. Send me a message explaining what’s happening and I will send you the files by email.
How do I open a zip folder?
In a “zip” folder (the icon is a folder with a zipper on it) the contents are compressed, and must be uncompressed. Right-click the folder you want to unzip, and then select "Extract All" (or similar) and then follow the instructions.
If you don't have a program already installed on your computer, there are many free programs available on the web.
What is an SVG cutting file? Is it different from a PNG or JPEG file (clipart)?
All SVG files in this shop are layered to work perfectly with Cricut and other cutting machines.
While JPG or PNG files are designed in pixels, SVGs are created by means of lines and points. This means that they work in the same way of a cutting machine where the blade cuts lines and turns at points.
You can size up the file as big as you want and it will never get pixelated or blurry on your screen.
SVG files have layers. You can ungroup, divide and cut different colors without having to trace a single thing.
JPG and PNG files don't have cut lines inside the file, you will only see an outline of the entire image. You can't ungroup or move layers around to cut in different colors. But you can use them for the “Print Then Cut” feature.
How do I choose the right file to use in my project?
The file type you use really depends on what project you are working on.
- Working with adhesive or heat transfer vinyl – SVG
- Working with stencil vinyl – SVG
- Working with printable vinyl – PNG
- Working and printing for sublimation – PNG
- Making paper cards or flowers – SVG
- Making stickers for your planner – PNG
How do I upload an SVG to Cricut Design Space?
- Log in to Design Space
- Click the Create New Project button
- Click the Upload Image button
- Click the Vector Upload button
- Click the Browse button and locate the SVG file that you want to import
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Most computers show a Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer icon as the SVG file.
How do I upload files to Silhouette Studio?
Check which version of Studio is available on your PC. If it’s the free version that came with your machine, this is the Basic Edition, and you must use the DXF files. Unfortunately this type of file doesn't support colors or compound paths and you will need to use the tools to be able to edit the file and cut the file as intended. If you paid for the upgrade, you have Designer Edition and must use SVG files.
- Open Studio, and select File > Import > Import to Library
from the top menu.
- Navigate to the location where you have saved your files, and select the file.
- Your Library will open, and Studio will automatically place the file in your My Own Designs folder.
- Open the file by double clicking the thumbnail image in your Library.
Can I sell your items commercially in my business shop?
The use of all files in this shop is allowed without limitation for personal and non-profit use but you may not share or redistribute them.
Commercial use of my files is permitted only according to the following rules:
- It is possible to sell only physical objects, selling digital files is NOT allowed.
- With the basic license included with the purchase, you can only sell up to 50 pieces and need to give credit to the store (Designed by: www.ericadigitaldesign.etsy.com). To avoid giving credit, it is necessary to purchase a No Credit license, available in the "Licenses" section of the shop.
- For sales over 50 pieces, it is necessary to purchase an “Extended Commercial License” (50-500 sales or 500-unlimited sales) section of the shop.
Do you make designs on commission?
Unfortunately no, due to absolute lack of time.
