Eric and I know that the best knife is the knife that feels right in your hand

This shop is run by a father son duo. What started out as a need for a walking stick, turned into a passion for what we do. Eric's Custom Knives creates unique one-of-a kind custom knives and walking sticks.
We try to purchase all of our knife blanks in the USA !
one of our partners is New Frontier Products LLC from Eugene Oregon
Vince's Story (Father)

We began making walking sticks because I have had Multiple Sclerosis for 28 years.
Over time my balance has slowly deteriorated and I was in need of a walking stick. I didn't just want any walking stick though, I wanted one that was a reflection of me (a little twisted) so Eric and I decided to make our own walking stick and I proudly sported it wherever I went. We started getting a lot of request from other people who wanted their own. For four years we worked on mastering our craft, in manufacture and composition, and started bringing as much creativity and uniqueness to each stick we created as possible. It would take us anywhere from two to four months to make each individual stick. Many of the people who requested a walking stick were older, or disabled like me. We decided not to sell our sticks for profit, but to give them to these people in need because it gave us great pleasure to think of our creations being used and appreciated. It was always worth seeing the happiness in the eyes of those we gave them to. We in turn received great pies and cakes delivered to our door, something we can always appreciate! It is a great feeling for Eric and I to know we've been able to help so many people with something we truly enjoy doing together.

After we felt we had mastered the walking sticks we decided to start making custom knives together. Being a hunter and fisherman all my life, I know what was important in a good quality knife. This is where I really found my passion, being able to combine my love for the outdoors and woodworking. We were making one or two custom knives a month and decided to start selling a few so that we can continue to make them. We hope to make just enough to fund our new hobby.
We shellac our handles right on the knife making a complete seal.
anyone that has removed handles from an old knife would see that blood, grim and germs are under the handle by shellacking the handles to the knife
we try to keep all the unwanted material from getting under the handles making the knife more sanitary and easier to keep clean.

Thank you for visiting our shop. Please look around and let me know if you have any questions as I will be happy to answer them.
