I love the stage right before committing to a type of jewelry. The possibilities are endless: earrings, necklace, raincloud? These sterling silver leaves became earrings, but they could have just as easily spent their days dangling as a mobile. #nexttime

About

Contemporary jewelry with a rustic and industrial edge, designed for unique style, and made by me.

I first discovered Metalsmithing and Art Jewelry at Humboldt State University where I studied Studio Art and Botany. I graduated in 2007, but I was so hooked that I continued to take Metals courses at the university over the next year and continue to take workshops whenever I can. I opened a shop here on Etsy at the end of 2008 and have enjoyed every minute of the experience. It's wonderful to be part of a community of makers and to share my craft with the world.

Nature, science, mythology, and history have a strong influence on my work. I'm captivated by humanity and our obsession with discovery and creation as well as our relationships with each other and the world around us. I enjoy working in metal because it has a sense of permanence. It is my hope that that permanence paired with the intimate and personal nature of jewelry results in pieces that can be passed from generation to generation. While I enjoy working with traditional materials, found objects and rich textures also excite me, so I'm always looking for new ways to pull together unusual techniques and materials.

In 2015 I took on a creative challenge, Earring A Day, which had artists creating one single earring every day for an entire year. Introduced by Victoria Takahashi, with over 20 jewelry artists here on Etsy participating. Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)

I stand by my work and I want you to enjoy your purchase as much as I enjoyed creating it. Limited returns and exchanges will be accepted within 15 days of the original purchase. Please read this entire section before making a purchase.

| EXCHANGES |
Exchanges will be accepted within 15 days of purchase (14 days of arrival for EU countries). Please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to make an exchange. Items for exchange must be received in new condition with all packaging present before the new item(s) will be shipped. Store credit will be offered for uneven exchanges. All exchanges are subject to a $5.00 restocking fee.

| RETURNS |
Returns are accepted on a case by case basis within 15 days of purchase (14 days of arrival for EU customers). Please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to make a return. Items for return must be received in new condition with all packaging present before a refund is issued. Shipping costs will not be refunded. A $5.00 restocking fee will be charged for any returned item.

| SHIPPING RETURNS OR EXCHANGES |
If an item for exchange/return is lost or damaged in transit to me I will not be able to offer the exchange/return. Please add insurance/tracking to your shipment if you are concerned. Items must arrive in new condition with original packaging. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs on returned or exchanged items.

No refunds or exchanges are available for items in the SALE section.

|COUPON CODES and other PROMOTIONS|
Only one coupon code or promotion may be used at a time. Coupon Codes can NOT be used in conjuntion with other promotional offers. Coupon codes will not active during other sales events (Ex: Etsy on Sale sales events) where the sales event offers a larger discount than the coupon code.

Payment Plans are available for items over $150. The details of payment plans including durations and number of installments are determined on an individual basis.

| PAYMENT TIME FRAME |
Payment is required before items ship. Ready to ship items ship within 1-3 days of payment. Made to order items may take 1 -2 additional weeks for fabrication. Shipping
| PACKAGING |
All items are packaged in a gift box unless otherwise noted. The gift box is then placed in a sturdy box filled with recycled paper for safe shipping. Receipts are included with each order. Gift receipts are available upon request.

| CARRIER and INSURANCE|
Packages are mailed via USPS First Class with tracking/insurance when possible. Signature confirmation will be added for items over $100. If you would like signature confirmation on an order under $100 please contact me. Tracking numbers are emailed at the time of shipment.

| DOMESTIC SHIPPING |
First class orders ship with signature confirmation (over $100) and insurance within the USA. Priority shipping upgrades are available for a fee.

| INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING |
Customers are responsible for all custom fees. Please check on the fees in your area before making a purchase. In some cases it will be impossible to insure packages going to other countries. In these cases I will be unable to refund lost or damaged packages. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

| SHIPPING TIME FRAMES |

| LOST PACKAGES |
Please report any packages you suspect have been lost in transit as soon as possible. If a package is not located after an inquiry is opened with USPS an insurance claim will be filed. Insurance claims cannot be submitted until 21 days after shipment for domestic orders and 45 days after shipment for international orders (Italy must wait 60 days). Buyers will be required to complete an affidavit regarding the order. Claims are generally processed 7 - 10 days after the necessary forms are submitted. Successful claims will receive refunds shortly after.

| MADE TO ORDER and MODIFICATIONS |
Made to order pieces are described as such within their listings and require 2-4 weeks for creation. Please note: each piece is made by hand so made to order pieces will vary slightly from the item pictured.

Looking for something slightly different? If you see something you like but would prefer it be created with a different metal, hang from a different chain, or have some other small modification, please do not hesitate to send me a conversation and I will do my best to make the changes. Modifications may incur additional charges and may require up to 3 additional weeks for completion.

Custom orders are welcome. A 50% deposit is required before work begins. Additional terms for custom orders will be determined on an individual basis before a listing is created. By purchasing a custom listing the buyer agrees to the terms and specifications within the listing. Modifications will not be available after a custom listing is purchased. No refunds or exchanges are available for custom pieces.
