In The Beginning . .
It all started as a way to get my mind off work. I started beading and making gifts. After some metalsmithing workshops, I was hooked. I began wearing my creations and getting a lot of compliments on them. When I became a stay at home mom, I was able to turn my hobby into a business.
Owner, Maker, Designer, Curator
I am a stay at home mom, former teacher and metalsmith. In balancing my multiple roles, I have found a love of creating beautiful things. I use recycled silver in all my pieces.

Jewelry that is handmade with care should also be worn with care. Even the best-made, highest quality jewelry is delicate. If not handled properly, jewelry will break or become damaged. Handmade jewelry can be extra delicate, so a little extra care will allow it to last a lifetime. Do not sleep, shower, bathe, swim, do dishes or household cleaning with chemicals. Tap, well, sea, and pool water all contain a variety of chemicals that can result in damage or excessive wear to metals and stones. Do not exercise when wearing your jewelry. Sweat, tugging, pulling, and rough handling can result in broken links, wire, and thread. Put your jewelry on after you have applied make-up, hair products, or perfumes. Repeated exposure to the chemicals in beauty products causes your jewelry to lose its sparkle and shine. Before wearing, always check all of the connections, clasps, and jump rings. If something is loose, bring the piece to a jeweler to be maintained, or get handy with needle nose pliers to tighten loose elements. Feel free to ask me for techniques. It is easy to maintain jewelry components.
What is Fine Silver?
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper. Fine silver is 99.9% pure. Fine silver will not tarnish like sterling and is a bit softer. I work harden my pieces so softness is not an issue.
What is Enamel?
Enamel is glass that is fused to metal using heat. The enamel I use comes in a granular form and is unleaded.
What is Cloisonne?
Cloisonne is an ancient technique. This means that compartments are created, using flattened wire, for the enamel to be placed in.
