Announcement   Find Czech glass beads, beading supplies, jewelry supplies and more here at Erthe Fae's Magical Destash-O-Rama!

Once upon a time there was a girl who loved to make jewelry and LOVED to buy beads and jewelry making supplies. After many years of creating beautiful things, she realized it was time to shift her focus to belly dancing full time, so she closed her jewelry making business. But she still had more beads than she could ever hope to use, even though she still wanted to make jewelry for herself and her friends. What ever was she going to do? She couldn't let the beads just sit around gathering dust while she waited for a bead-based economy to rise up in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. So instead she listed them on Etsy.

Please note, this is a destash shop only! Once these beads are gone, I cannot source more for you. She who hesitates is lost, so carpe the heck out of that diem, buy beads now and ask questions later.

I paid $3.00 for the beads and $2.50 for shipping. I had to wait in line at Post Office 45 mins. to pay additional $.21 in order to pick up envelope. The cost to send envelope was $.98. This is not right.

I am SO sorry, Michele! I made the mistake of asking someone else to take that to the PO for me and he messed up big time on the postage. I am going to give you a full refund of your postage *and* the cost of beads to make up for the inconvenience (there's nothing worse than a Post Office line).

About

Temporary Solution Becomes Permanent Obsession

It all started in the late 90s, when I was 16 years old and could not find a job. I wanted to make some money so I could afford to buy nice presents for my family and boyfriend, so I decided to make a few necklaces and sell them on-line. The first batch sold well, so I bought more beads and made more jewelry. It kept snowballing from there! I got hooked on beads, and learning new beading techniques. 15 years later, I'm still creating one-of-a-kind jewelry.

I work in one of two ways. I either see something that I want to use in a piece and design around it, or I see a hole in my shop (Oh no! I'm running low on spiral bracelets!) and create items to fill it. I have a very large stash of beads on hand to choose from, but it's never enough! I always need more!

I split my creative time between beading during the afternoon at my desk, while also tending to all of the technical sides of the business, and beading at night while watching a DVD on the couch with my husband and the corgis.

Corgis can't make jewelry, since they don't have thumbs. Daisy and Maggie provide valuable moral support and occasionally taste-test the beads.

Jewelry maker by day, tribal fusion belly dancer by night! I'm inspired by tribal costuming, unusual beads, and the giant stacks of fantasy novels that I read before bed every night. Thank you Liora K Photography for the beautiful photo of me :)
