Announcement   Dramatic, atmospheric and totally captivating, Simon Kenny’s abstract paintings are internationally recognized and truly dynamic. Represented by a number of the finest galleries in the UK and Europe Simon's work is ganering attention across the globe. His reputation is well known as one of the very best contemporary artists living and working in the UK. Available through only the very best galleries, Simons paintings can be found in Whitewall Galleries, Clarendon Fine Art, Artique Galleries, Genesis Gallery, Galaria Blanca, Gallery 1066, Breeze Gallery, London FIne Art and many more.

Born in Dublin Ireland, Simon discovered his love for art from an early age. His style of painting, known as ‘lyrical abstraction’ encompasses paced brush and palette knife work, subtle underpainting and graduating alterations in colour.

His paintings are deliberately not specific to any place or time, as Simons aim is for the viewer to develop and build their own personal connections with each piece. Whether his images remind you of somewhere you have actually seen, or invoke a particular emotion or memory, he aims to balance both a sense of materialism and spiritualism through this abstraction. Indeed, as he starts on a new painting, Simon himself begins on a journey through a host of emotions, which are carefully considered and expressed through both colour and form, offering the viewer a direct visual connection to his mind set.

Simon's fascination with the world around him is palpable through his work. His depictions of nature form a myriad of emotions as he uses painting as a manner in which to better understand the human condition to which we are all bound. The beauty of his work is how it compliments and reflects your own thoughts and feelings. At times an image can seem tranquil and harmonized whereas on a different day, the same scene can appear tumultuous and unruly. This emotional creativity is the heart and soul of Simons abstract paintings and by infusing his own distinctive style with a radical turneresque quality, these vibrant images are totally unique in every sense.

Simon's work is both multi award winning and widely collected by both private and corporate clients located not only in the UK but also the U.S , Europe, and Asia.

Commissions welcome.

Dramatic, atmospheric and totally captivating

Simon Kenny is a multi award winning artist, celebrated nationally and internationally for his vibrant, expressive paintings. His style is best described as 'lyrical abstraction', and his technique encompasses brush and palette knife work, subtle under-painting and graduating alterations in colour. Characterised as a 'radical impressionist', in recent press coverage he has attracted significant attention for his growing collection of colour burst oil paintings.

Simon's fascination with the world around him clearly manifests itself through his work, yet no piece is ever site specific. His aim is for the viewer to connect personally with each composition - to be reminded of a place they once knew, or visited by an unexpected moment of emotion.

Born in 1976 in Dublin, Ireland, Simon discovered his love of art at a young age. Following his natural artistic instinct he acquired techniques and preferences which he relates through his work. His personality is a big part of his work, and as he starts on a new painting he embarks on a personal journey through a host of emotions, all carefully considered and expressed through both colour and form, offering the viewer a direct visual connection to his mind set.

WELCOME TO MY SHOP POLICIES PAGE.

My paintings depict the subject in a number of various styles as I am not fixed to a single method or have a preference of colour, texture or tools. I am not only captivated by things of natural beauty but also by the unusual and obscure as I am sure my shop content will reveal.
Everything you see in my paintings from subject or colour to texture or genre is heavily emotionally driven, my art is my self made therapy, it is where I explore my self and relate this on to canvas.

My real aim is to capture your interest and hopefully offer you art that can transport you beyond the space in which it hangs.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and your feedback would be really appreciated
