Top shop for gifts.

Announcement    I offer a basic range of well-made latex at a fair price, because I know how daunting it is to build a latex wardrobe from scratch, and how common it is to make mistakes in the beginning! My clothes will flatter you and kick start your wardrobe so you can add color, accessories and other exciting pieces later on, as you learn what you like best in latex.

If your size isn't listed, contact me with your measurements and I will try my best to get you in latex.

While I offer great prices on my items, I am not interested in undercutting other latex manufacturers or providing you with a cheaper version of somebody else's work. I am very opposed to copying within the industry, and will never knowingly provide knock-offs. Please respect latex designers' work, and not ask me or other designers to produce copies of their work.

I've been a big fan of latex for many years now. I trained as a fashion designer but never worked in this field until a chance visit to a latex studio rekindled my interest in clothing in 2003.

Since that time, I've been perfecting my skills and learning what items work best for other women.

I am offering a very basic range of well made latex at extremely reasonable prices, because I know how daunting it is to build a latex wardrobe from scratch, and how common it is to make ghastly mistakes in the beginning! My clothes will flatter you and kick start your wardrobe so you can add color, accessories and other exciting pieces later on, as you learn what you like best in latex!

Please note that I do not make corsets, catsuits or complex latex designs such as ruffled evening gowns. These are items which you should add later on as your knowledge grows, and only ever from qualified vendors and designers. (If you're in doubt, feel free to contact me for my recommendations!) Shipping

All items are sent via registered mail in the event of loss.

Normal postage costs in Northern Europe are expensive, but I try to make up for that by keeping my listing prices reasonable.

Expedited shipping is now available with UPS, but please discuss your due date with me before upgrading, to ensure I can make your deadline. UPS varies in each country in its service. I do not currently recommend upgrading your shipping to UPS if you live in Canada.

Essential Latex is not responsible for any customs, duty or excise taxes which your country may charge at Customs, or any broker's fees through UPS.

Since every article goes out with a tracking number, Essential Latex is not responsible for any shipments returned unclaimed, once the item has arrived in its country of origin. You will be required to pay shipping charges again, in this event. Please avoid this by contacting your local postal service if you suspect you were not given notification of a package.

Avoid any potential problems by making sure your Etsy shipping information is up to date, and by confirming any changes in advance. It is helpful if you include your phone number when ordering, in the event of any emergencies.

Additional policies and FAQs

**Sale Items**
Items on sale are for pieces which have already been produced, in a specific size and color. Normally they are brand new, never worn, unless otherwise indicated, and were created for a local shop or customer who changed their order.

Please be sure and read about the size and color of the sale item. When making inquiries about the item, remember that should you require another size or color, you will need to order an original piece from my range.

**Colors**
Available colors are listed with each item. Most of my latex is from Radical Rubber. http://www.radicalrubber.co.uk/latex_colours.asp

**Ordering Info**
Your pieces will arrive washed, polished and ready to wear. If you'd prefer them in their natural state, please specify when ordering!

While there is no set sizing standard for latex garments within the industry, I strive to make my sizes as straightforward as possible, and as easy to understand as I possibly can. Choose your size by the size that you normally wear in regular garments, NOT by the size you wear from other latex designers. It's really that simple! My sizes are listed in US, UK and German equivalents to help you select the size best for you.

**Dressing and Wearing Notes**

Latex is normally much stronger than newcomers expect it to be, but you will still need to take care not to puncture your latex or rip it by making it stretch too much. Always make sure you have pulled up your garment as far as you can, as pulling too hard on tight latex can cause it to rip. Most fitting problems for newcomers are the result of being stingy with dressing aid, so make sure to use plenty your first times getting dressed. As you become used to latex, your dressing times will decrease, but take plenty of time the first couple wearings to get it right.

Use plenty of dressing aid such as Pjur Cult Dressing Aid, to help get into your tight latex. You can also use talcum powder, but it will get very messy. Do not under any circumstances use corn starch, as it can trigger latex allergies, and possibly worse, destroy your latex, when not thoroughly washed off!

Do not use any substance other than a silicone-based polish or dressing aid as certain oils will destroy your latex, and certain body lubricant products contain ingredients which may weaken the seams of your clothing.

To use dressing aid, I recommend applying it directly inside the garment, paying close attention to narrow areas such as ankles or wrists. For added ease, apply dressing aid to the small of your back, which is often tough to reach when arranging your garment.

The Essential Latex halter was designed to give you maximum cleavage and support, when properly worn. It's easiest to step into the dress and pull it up. Take care to use enough dressing aid to ensure the dress slides up as far as it needs to go. For the best possible cleavage and boost, arrange your breasts fully above the underbust seam so your breasts are completely above the seam, and that the seam does not bissect the bustline in any way.

Leggings work best if you sit down while dressing. Please make sure you have used enough powder or lube to get into them. I like to pour dressing aid or powder into the leggings at the ankles, and work it up the legs. In order for your leggings to fit properly, you need to make sure there is no excess length at the ankles, because this means you have not pulled them up enough. I find when I put my hands inside the leggings and run my hands up my calves, that it smooths out the latex quite effectively, much more so than by tugging on the outside.

**Caring For Your Latex**
Your pieces will arrive washed, polished and ready to wear. If you'd prefer them in their natural state, please specify when ordering!

Wash after each wear in lukewarm water. You may add unscented baby shampoo or unscented dishwashing liquid for extra cleansing if you like, but it's not normally necessary.

Allow your latex to thoroughly dry on both sides. Don't be alarmed if your latex looks cloudy or discolored after washing! It will return to normal once the water has evaporated, which can take up to 2 or 3 hours.

Condition on the inside with a little bit of silicone (I highly recommend Pjur Cult Shine, or Pjur Basic.) before folding up and storing, which will prevent your latex from sticking together in storage. Many people also like a product called ViviShine, which saves time in polishing, but you will still need to get a dressing aid to use.

Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep black latex separate from transparent or light items as they may stain your latex.

Take care to avoid metal objects.
