About

A Passion and Need Transformed into a Business

I've always loved the charm and character of vintage items. Originally I started buying "antiques" out of need when I moved into my first apartment many years ago. My friends and family called my finds "used junk" (LOL) - but they just didn't see what I saw. Of course, times have now changed and junk is no longer a bad word and is now considered as "junque". So, I've stuck with it all these years and now that I've moved across the country and am retired I'm doing it fulltime as a business on Etsy.

I mostly handle everything myself - with some occasional assistance from family. Specifically, my mom (proud age of 88 and a 5-year cancer survivor) has fantastic sewing talent and has been the source for the custom pillows and ottomans that I've offered. And not to forget my "big brother" who has a critical engineers eye and can be counted on to honestly critique my creations when asked.......and sometimes even when not asked (LOL). He also assists if I need some minor furniture repairs. But I selfishly leave the best parts of the business for myself - the shopping, the painting and the creating.

I'm so thrilled that others love my items enough to purchase them. I can't imagine a better compliment, or more of a validation of my personal passion, and it just spurs me on to find more "stuff" and to create more vintage treasures. My biggest problem is letting go of my finds. I want to keep everything for myself - but alas, have to limit myself to what will fit into my already overcrowded home.

Payment
Payment is required within 5 days of purchase. Payment options accepted include Paypal or Money Order. If you prefer Money Order, please email me for mailing address.
Shipping
Shipping carrier is determined according to the weight and size of the item. Smaller items are usually shipped via USPS with Delivery Confirmation. Larger items are shipped via Fedex.

Furniture items that exceed the weight and size limits of Fedex for a reasonable cost will be shipped more economically via Greyhound Package Express to buyer's closest package terminal for their pickup.

Shipping is included for all shipments.
Refunds and Exchanges
Most of our items are vintage, and many are "one-of-a-kind" treasures. They're aged pieces and oftentimes have slight indications of wear. We try as best we can to point out these quirks. We ask that you view the item carefully and encourage you to ask lots of questions prior to bidding so you're comfortable with, and aware that you're purchasing a vintage piece that is not perfect. Therefore, we do not accept refunds. If on occasion we do accept a return, please be advised that return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs
We generally do not ship Internationally. However, we're willing to consider this on an "item-to-item" basis, so please email us with your inquiries.

Occasionally, even with the utmost care in packaging, there may be damage to an item in shipping. All shipments include insurance, so your item will be covered should you experience this.
