How it came to be...

I've always had a passion for art and love exploring different media. After graduating from music school, I began teaching dance and music classes. In my spare time, I painted murals and stepped into the world of fiber arts. My grandmother taught me when I was a child, and I always enjoyed working with fibers. Over time, I grew to love the freedom and independence that working as an artist allowed me, and took the plunge into working full time on my own. When I started my shop, I knew that it was the perfect place to focus my skills. It's the ideal outlet for my creativity and expression as an artist, and I'm very thankful for this opportunity.

I love using vintage items as inspiration and reinventing them with a modern twist. I'm always working on new designs with custom colors, varied textures and new techniques. My customers keep me pushing the creative boundaries with their inspirations and ideas. I love creating custom, one of a kind pieces that have become family heirlooms. It's been a whirlwind of painting, sewing, crochet filled days (and nights), and I have loved every bit of it. I finally feel like I've found my place in the world.

Without God, none of this would have been possible, as it's only by His will that I am able. I am truly grateful to Him for this opportunity. I am very fortunate, and blessed beyond measure with an amazingly supportive family that motivates and inspires me each day.

The shop is lovingly named after my daughter, Eva. When my husband and I were choosing her middle name, we asked her superhero obsessed brother which name he would choose. He replied "Villain." We didn't select it for her name, but when I was choosing my shop name, I thought it would be perfect. It also happens to be my chosen roller derby moniker.

I hope you enjoy my pieces and that they bring joy to you and your family. If you have a request for something you don't see listed, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to see what I can do.

In addition to crocheting, I'm the mother of two awesome kids, musician, muralist, roller derby player, and dance teacher. Most days, you’ll find me covered in paint, sorting through yarn scraps, roller skating, or working on some choreography.

Care instructions

For cotton and acrylic items, please hand wash with cold water and mild detergent, reshape, then lay flat to dry.

For burlap items, spot clean only. Do not iron over monograms.

Monitors display colors differently. If you would like a physical sample, please send me a private message prior to purchase and I will be happy to send you one in the mail at no charge. Nonslip treatment

I offer to apply a nonslip spray to the rugs. This treatment should last through a few washes, but will need to be reapplied. It is not a slip-proof treatment, but will help it to stay in place. Please secure rugs using the safety method of your preference such as nonslip rug pads, sprays, or whichever method you find most secure and safe.
