I design and create all my items by hand in my studio. I get my inspirations from the ocean and beaches as well as the land and water scenes while growing up in Finland. (I have spent many years in Maine and other areas with water on my kayak), Many of my copper items are inspired by seaweed, shells and other sea creatures. Nature - leaves, plants and scenery makes your life special and inspires. Hope you enjoy my creations and visit my secure online shop at https://www.basketofblue.com!

I give lifetime guarantee for all my jewelry because I love happy customers! Please visit my online shop for more information and samples of my work.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
I have updated most international to use Fedex Priority. There are just too many delays with USPS with standard international shipping. (Many USPS shipments are taking a month to get to Europe.) There may be delays with shipping due to the pandemic. Contact me if you want me to ship international with standard (most shipments are $12-14), but please note that I cannot guarantee any delivery estimates of United States Postal Service. Please note that if your shipping address is outside of United States your country may collect customs fees or import taxes on goods you ordered through Etsy.

Here's how Etsy help explains the customs and import fees:

"When a package ships internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed (e.g. handling fees) by the destination country. These charges are typically due once the package arrives in the destination country.

In general, the buyer is responsible for paying the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. These charges can vary widely and are often based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country.

Most sellers on Etsy can’t predict which of these fees, if any, will be applied, and Etsy doesn’t expect sellers to calculate or collect these fees or taxes."

Jewelry inspired by the ocean and nature's wonders.

Blue Finn Studio (previously Evädesigns) is my small creative studio where I design jewelry and other accessories. My name is Mari Hanby and I grew up in Finland. In my late twenties an opportunity presented itself to come to New York and study design at Pratt Institute. I ended up staying in the New York area and worked in various companies as a web designer. My interest in design lead me to begin to create jewelry.

I have become fascinated by various materials, textures and surfaces. It seems to be an endless discovery. I like designing things on the computer, but I have discovered the captivating feeling of materials, beads, metal, wire, etc. Holding something in your hand enables you to experience it in a totally different and profound way. I am currently experimenting with enameling metals and creating new colors using fire.
