Evans & Evans Farm is in Andes, Delaware County, New York. The farm sits in a beautiful, unspoiled valley 2,000 feet up in the Western Catskills at the top end of New York City’s watershed - natural sheep country.

We are Joe & Jackie Evans. We raise a flock of 100% grass-fed Katahdin sheep. While selling lamb and mutton is the primary purpose of the farm, we like to respect our sheep by using all parts of the animal.

We partner with New York City's Watershed Agricultural Council to ensure the top end of the city's water source is kept free of pesticides, fertilizers and run-off of top-soil and animal waste. We operate a holistic, rotational grazing policy that maintains a vibrant root structure on our pastures. This is critically important for the environment, from the babbling upper reaches of the Tremper Kill on our farm all the way down to New York City. At the same time our grazing practices are healthy and nutritious for the animals that graze on our land.
